Valve has pretty much given XBL the middle finger based on the policy of allowing only a small percentage of free DLCs. Valve being a company quite generous with free DLC, such as giving away a HL2 level that they created as a tech demo... damn fine level, too.GiantRaven said:But not 360?
I can understand that but still.....GAAAAHHHHHHHHH.Netrigan said:Valve has pretty much given XBL the middle finger based on the policy of allowing only a small percentage of free DLCs. If I recall correctly and from the co-op trailer, the single player story and co-op story are separate.Sober Thal said:Don't hate me for my ignorance and laziness, but can you play all of portal 2 single player, or is all co-op??
Will it be 'I can play only some' levels alone I guess?
I think the Xbox 360 version will have co-op, the point is that PS3 and PC players can play together.GiantRaven said:I can understand that but still.....GAAAAHHHHHHHHH.Netrigan said:Valve has pretty much given XBL the middle finger based on the policy of allowing only a small percentage of free DLCs. It was the only reason I was considering buying it.
According to that link Steamworks is coming to ps3. A different thing to win/mac steam.IamSofaKingRaw said:yup yoo read right. I think because Steam is coming to PS3 with Portal 2 the ability for PC and PS3 players to play together has finally come. Here's hoping that the next L4D is available on the PS3 and it gets the same feature.

Co-op is a gimmick? Is multiplayer a gimmick? Or am i missing a joke...Robert Gerhardt said:ah co-op
the thing that lonely pseudo gamers use the lure other humans into something like a relatioship
was a gimmic when it started and remains as such
Steamworks, not steam, different things alltogether, and yeah, as someone said, no major sites have announced that yet and its a rumour on a smaller blog, so its hardly something to take 100% serious.IamSofaKingRaw said:yup yoo read right. Its a single player game first and foremost, its just that this time they are adding the multiplayer option of co-op for combined thinking.Sober Thal said:Don't hate me for my ignorance and laziness, but can you play all of portal 2 single player, or is all co-op??

Yeah well I'm no PC gamer so I didn't know the difference. Nevertheless, the website said that an EA employee confirmed that PC and PS3 players can play together. Hopefully it will be a start of a PC-PS gaming era.Pedgeth said:According to that link Steamworks is coming to ps3. A different thing to win/mac steam.IamSofaKingRaw said:yup yoo read right.
