yup yoo read right. I think because Steam is coming to PS3 with Portal 2 the ability for PC and PS3 players to play together has finally come. Here's hoping that the next L4D is available on the PS3 and it gets the same feature.

On my PS3.

Does this mean I can play Oblivion GOTY on the PS3, since I own it for PC?

Better source please. I've never heard of the blog. I'm filing it as a rumour for now until someone larger picks it up.

That said, if it's true: I called it.

But not 360?
Valve has pretty much given XBL the middle finger based on the policy of allowing only a small percentage of free DLCs. Valve being a company quite generous with free DLC, such as giving away a HL2 level that they created as a tech demo... damn fine level, too.

I can understand that but still.....GAAAAHHHHHHHHH.

It was the only reason I was considering buying it.

Don't hate me for my ignorance and laziness, but can you play all of portal 2 single player, or is all co-op??

Will it be 'I can play only some' levels alone I guess?
If I recall correctly and from the co-op trailer, the single player story and co-op story are separate.

I think the Xbox 360 version will have co-op, the point is that PS3 and PC players can play together.

Unless you meant you were only buying it to play with someone on PC.

ah co-op
the thing that lonely pseudo gamers use the lure other humans into something like a relatioship
was a gimmic when it started and remains as such
Co-op is a gimmick? Is multiplayer a gimmick? Or am i missing a joke...

Steamworks, not steam, different things alltogether, and yeah, as someone said, no major sites have announced that yet and its a rumour on a smaller blog, so its hardly something to take 100% serious.

Its a single player game first and foremost, its just that this time they are adding the multiplayer option of co-op for combined thinking.

Yeah well I'm no PC gamer so I didn't know the difference. Nevertheless, the website said that an EA employee confirmed that PC and PS3 players can play together. Hopefully it will be a start of a PC-PS gaming era.

Start? PC and PS3 have been in bed with each other before. Unreal Tornament 3 for PS3 had some PC mods and such :)
