POSITIVE opinions you have that are different from the norm

You know how people create threads about opinions you hold that aren't common, and 80% of them turn out to be negative for some reason? Well, fuck that shit. It's time for optimism!

This is a thread about things you like that many people don't. Don't feel ashamed - if you like, for example, Kane & Lynch 2, this is the place to post that information.

Also, you should specify if what you're posting is unpopular in real life, or the internet. Both are acceptable. And please, try to avoid negative opinions disguised as positive opinions (e.g "I think *unpopular game* is better than *popular game* - just saying you like *unpopular game* will do). And most importantly, no bashing of other people.

So, I'll start:

I like Coldplay (IRL + Internet)

I think Avatar is an excellent movie (internet)

I love Halo's story (internet)

I like the Harry Potter books AND films (internet)

Outcasts, by the BBC, was one of the best shows I've ever seen (everywhere)

I don't hate, or even dislike, any of the factions in 40k (both again)

I like reading massive doorstoppers of books, and in fact just bought a trilogy of sci-fi books that are 1200 pages long each, with a small font (real life)

EDIT: Also, Lady Gaga's Bad Romance isn't a bad song (internet).

So, that's me out of the way. How about you? What do you like, that other people don't?

It's 8.2 on IMDB. That is usually a pretty accurate aggregate. So people like it, mostly.

OT: I don't mind Nickelback at all. I don't exactly like them, but I do like some of the songs.

Bayformers are quite alright. The second one was a bit bad, but it wasn't the cinematic genocide everyone says it was.

I like the first K&L.

Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops kick so much ass in singleplayer that I am ready to forgive them for all of the MP mishaps.

Some people don't like the plot, apparently. Which I can understand. I liked the execution, though, as well as the worldbuilding and special effects.

I had fun playing WET, and don't think it's a bad game.
Except for the QTE's, but sliding along the floor firing two guns with a cool soundtrack is pretty good.

I love Steam, and downloadable Games. Especially Xbox Live Arcade has some of the greatest Gaming Content of this generation. I still prefer retail/boxed games, but i acknowledge that by disregarding all DLC, we'd miss a lot of great games that just aren't affordable for the Devs and Publishers. ('net)

Kane & Lynch 2 was short and kinda average when it comes to gameplay, but i like the style, the grittiness and the story. Not a great game, but massively underrated. ('net)

Mirrors Edge and Enslaved are awesome. ('net)

So is 30 Days of Night, the movie (RL)

Since you requested that there be no hate on this thread, I won't try to tell you why I (and others like me) dislike it so much. But, yeah, it's the plot, basically.

The trick is to figure out what stuff is actually different from the norm, and what stuff is different from the vocal internet norm.

For example, I love Nickelback. They're one of my favourite bands ever. That opinion would seem to be right at home in this thread, if not for the fact that there are boatloads of people who like them too. If they didn't, they wouldn't have concerts!

I loved Duke Nukem Forever

I think that the recent Transformers movies are awesome, especially the Dark of the Moon - and I respect Michael Bay

And I have no doubt in my mind that even though it's going to kill me in a gruesome way, I have extreme love and dedication for smoking cigarettes, weed and doing coke (not so often though)

I am not a casual gamer but I don't have any problem with people who are, wether it be in my MMO's shooters whatever. I don't care if i lose in games although i will try my hardest if I have teammates who loose a game for i don't mind, I play games for fun.

I also like it when I am trolled, I can usually get a laugh from it as well.

I actually liked the 4th Indiana Jones film, and didn't think the 1st was amazing, I thought the first and 4th films were about equal. Indiana Jones 3 is clearly head and shoulders above the rest though, of course.
I liked avatar. Sure it had a ctrl-C'd plot, but come on, it looked beautiful, and did 3D right - make the 3D give the image more depth, not jump out at you. Media needs to learn this.
I thought Ratchet: Gladiator was incredible gameplay wise (not normal from what I gather from the R&C fans)
And I Thought Black Ops was better than Modern Warfare 2, Multiplayer wise.
