Here's a few of mine:

You can post any soundtracks you like, movies or anything, but keep it to games if you can, thanks.

That's one hell of a list, could be here a while, if I'm going to try and get through all that... Incidently try and use spoiler tags next time please, you know, so you don't lag the page and hog all the space. Here's a few more anyway:

Persona 3 and 4 have some great battle music. I'm missing out a lot of good songs by just choosing three.
May as well include some of the rest of the goodness that is Shin Megami Tensei's soundtracks. Shoji Meguro is a certified Genius. Digital Devil Saga in particular has some amazing rock in it's battle themes.

The soundtrack from Tony hawk's Pro skater 2 basically contains every single one of my favourite songs and bands.

Also this gem, from the Ghost in the Shell movie and subsequent game.

I probably have some favourites in common with most people when it comes to video game soundtracks (like Final Fantasy VII or Skyrim).

But here's something I won't expect many to post.

This soundtrack blows my mind. It's funny, epic, colourful, exotic, catchy... it's just so UNIQUE. It sounds so sophisticated, yet... completely absurd. Like the game, really.

I'm in love with Umineko No Naku Koro N right now, the soundtrack is awesome. Even the fighting game spin off has arguably better music than the main novels. I don't know why Japan has the urge to make visual novels, a medium that has little to no conventional gameplay (Umineko has no gameplay, it just plays mindgames with you, it's great) and making a fighting game out of it, see also: Melty Blood.

It's good though too, as a fan of Umineko I have fun just loading a game and just playing Battler vs Beatrice for a bit with the dramatic music on. The oldschool blue/red truth slinging battle of wits continues... just with more punching.

This is now the song that never fails to cheer me up, even if it is the song that introduced Eva-Beatrice into the game, the psychotic murder crazy ***** that she is. What witch isn't kill crazy though, it seems part of the job description over there but Eva-Beatrice is the worst by far.

Then there's this which is used for rare mystery reveal situations.

Agreed, never played any Persona games before actually ^^=b

I go back to this every now and then. The mods used to be great, I mostly just play cinema for 2 now though, nothing like a minigun and a slow-mo button:

I never get tired of the soundtrack to Atlantis: The Lost Tales, a graphic adventure game released in 1997 and IMHO one of the better "Myst-clones", even though I still think the plot got increasingly jumbled during the second half of the game.

VTM:B has an awesome soundtrack and I didn't know about the band Lacuna Coil before I played it. Thanks game!

Command & Conquer has already been mentioned. I still have Hell March on my Ipod.

Transistor though since the main character is a singer it is no surprise a lot of work went into the music. I spent way too long just having Red hum or just hanging out in the safe house playing with the dog and listening to the music in this game

Oh man, these are always good. There are some really good ones, so it's hard to choose.

Persona 3:
Persona has one of my favorite soundtracks ever. It can be really hip and fun, really dramatic, or really pensive and thoughtful. Most importantly, it's great at setting atmosphere. Part of the reason is because the music starts out poppy and fun, but as the game goes on, and the story becomes more somber, the music changes with it. However, there's a single moment that stands out more then the others. It's small, but it's the moment I rememebr more then any other. It's when you go to the shrine, and everyone just stands there thinking. It's not dramatic, or hugerly importent, but it was a great mood setter. I actually set the controller down and sat there for half an hour. Wow.

FF7:
Love it or hate it, FF7 had one hell of a soundtrack. It could be small or intimate, or large and epic, as needed. Also, it had the greatest boss theme of all time (both of them). In all, though, I think Tifa's theme stands out most.

Kingdom Hearts:
Just... damn.

Hotline Miami 1 and 2 are the only game soundtracks I have ever purchased.

That said, there were some amazing tracks in Ace Combat 4:

Freedom Planet:

Something that does retro without just pulling bleeps and bloops from a NES instead sounding like something out of the Saturn/PS time of games.

Final Fantasy Tactics:
Love this RPG and I love this soundtrack.

I don't have a favorite soundtrack persay but these I do love and I didn't see anyone post either so far.
