I just looked up on the steam page at Metro Last Light (a game i have really high hopes for), looked at the pre-order bonuses, and some thing felt really odd. As if something just got snipped away, and that it might become a trend, a bit like what Swag did with intelligence and human decencies.
Nothing that horrible thought, it is the Ranger Mode - Experience complete immersion. No HUD. Less bullets. Brutal Combat. Hardcore. (ripped directly from steam)
I find this somewhat bewildering that a game mod would be locked out as pre-order bonus, i find this very scary actually, that this becomes the new norm and for people looking for challenge and/or immersion will HAVE to upgrade to the "ELITE EDITION".
I was tempted to pre-order the game (because i really liked metro 2033 and it looks like it corrected some stuff) but this really turned me off, i just don't want this to become a new trend.
