I finished Prince of Persia last night, got the achievement for finishing it in under 12 hours and was like hey, that's cool. Right? Wrong! When I loaded up my save file this morning, I found it had autosaved right after the last boss, and I am unable to return to before that time (To pick up more light seeds and such). I tried watching through the credits to see if it had a replayability option (Like in Ocarina of time where you can't save after you beat ganondorf, it just returns you to hyrule beforehand so you can adventure some more) but alas. Nothing. So now I have a bunch of light seeds I haven't collected and so on. Am I going to have to start over again? or is there something I've missed? I would appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

ps. My save file is also saved after the defeat of Ahriman. I was under the impression I could go back and do stuff, but apparently not. Please help.

First of all, I believe that you cannot go back.

Secondly, you aren't missing anything worth going back for. The only unlockables the game has are skins, and I don't think you get any via light seed collection.

Still, the game is on the short side, so if you do have to do it again, at least it won't take long.

Never mind the replayability issues, I was more concerned with the playability issues.
Sort of.

On the other hand, I am still amazed on how people are frantic about achievements. Way to go Anthropologists/Psychologists [ nvm spelling here please ]! Anyone care to PM me why they keep going back for them?

The game has fantastic visuals, they are inspired and original but the game lacks any true freedom. It's by no means an open world game. Just try going off the beaten path, the game will punish you for it. I mean it's mostly just a set of linear paths but you can access all areas at any time without loading. To me, that's not real open world gameplay.

To be honest it's a boring game.

As for playing it again to get achievements, I think this is why achievements ruin games.

They should have just stuck with the linear paths of the previous game. It mean more challenge, more variation, and a much more intresting game. Freeroam is not made for the prince of persia formular, and its not even real freeroam anyway.

So... just to clarify... you're going to go back through a game, hating every second of it, to get achievements that do nothing?

I can understand detouring to grab an achievement if it's nearby and you'll enjoy whatever challenge you'd have to undertake to get it, but you're describing a sickness wherein you're willing to actively torment yourself to boost your gamerscore.

Let it go man, go do something fun. You'll feel better.

Okay. First let me clarify something.
I'm female. And as such, I have to be TWICE as awesome as everyone else to be on par with my friends. What's the easiest way to do this? With a bigger E-peen, generated by Gamerscore. What's an even easier way? With Prince of Persia's easy achievements which I know I can do.
I got my 360 for Christmas. I collect Gamerscore for one reason only. It makes playing games more of a challenge.Going back and trying to get the achievements for Left4Dead is a lot more fun than playing the campaigns over and over knowing I can beat them and get no possible recognition or reward at the end.

You can't go back in Prince of Persia.
End of discussion. Thanks for helping.
