I just read that sony is going to offer unmodifed Japanese games uncut and untranslated. I know gamers for years have been importing titles that were only avalible in Japan. I guess its because i dont speak Japanese but this just seems like a bad idea on some level and a little lazy to boot. I mean really how big is the market for people wanting to play a game they cant understand.I think sony could put in a little effort and at least add some subtitles. I mean these could be the greatest games with the best stories ever but i wont know how to work the controles because i dont speak the language and trial and error gameplay doesnt seem like fun if i dont understand the story. On a related side note as anyone eles every got the vibe that people who play imported Japenese games where kinda pretentious(i know not all of you but maily the ones who post). THere forum post always go a little something like this "i play imported games because they are far superior to western games,but its very nich so i wouldnt expect you to get it". Import snobs are a close cousings to the pc snob who constantly touts how much better pc graphics are compared to console.
