PS3 MW2 and hacks

So I decided to dust off my MW2 skills and see if I was still any good on the PSN tonight. I start a round, and the game almost immediately starts teleporting me around. "Great." I think, "Connection lost already".

Imagine my surprise when the game restarts, and a banner shows across the top of the screen saying "so and so presents MW2 GUN GAME" etc. Basically I made it into a hacked game where they had set up a gun game mode. It was pretty fun to play actually, which was nice.

Here's the thing though, once I got into that lobby, the FPS and the host name showed up on my HUD. I figured that it was due to the hacked lobby, but once I backed out and joined a new one, the information was still there. This persisted for two or three more lobbies.

Anybody know about any of this? Was I just unlucky, and it'll go away once I find a clean lobby, or is that a new permanent element to my HUD?

Lucky. I've been trying to find a hacked game for ages now. Can't find one, though I'm not sure if I want to thanks to this.

I'm sure turning it off and on again will make everything better.

And yeah, I've managed to be privy to a few hacked lobbies, it's not nearly as much fun as you'd think.

I got haacked badly tonight...real bad.

Was first in Favela, I kept teleporting out of the map to the side of some mountain where everyone else was, and we just shot each other whilst sliding down the mountain. I thought my connection may have been f'd.

But then I played airport, a guy killed me. On the kill cam I saw he had invisiible mode activated, and a bright red square was highlighted on his screen of all players locations.

The big one came on that big open mapped boring sniper level (in a field with the trenches and the bunker). Anyway, after 1 min, everyone teleported onto a guy's claymore and he got a massive multi kill.

Then suddenly this appeared on my screen in bright green letters "DRUGS FTW, YOU ARE AN EXORCIST, GO GET EM". My screen turned blurry and entered thermal vision and I moved very quickly. A massive skull appeared on my radar too (the same as the prestige emblem but huge).

I then got kicked out of the game. My clan tag had changed to C*NT. All my gun stats and colours were reset and one of my classes was renamed to WTF in red letters. At the bottom of my lobby screen where it says your name and some stats, was scrolling "you got Fu**ing owned!"


Man, MW2 sucks.

Anyone else experienced this?

iv had the same sort of thing with CoD4, the round starts and tonnes of writing scrolls across the screen, to fast to read, i realaised soemhing was fully wrong when i loading approx. 50 rounds from a LMG into a guys chest (hit icon appeared, confirmed hit) and the guy was fine.

I logged out and saw that all of my custom classes had be renamed and all challeneges where completed, ruined the game for me.

Anyone know how to reset it back to how it was pre-hacked?

Wow, so MW2 has been properly screwed over now?
I gave up on in when there was all the glitchers and campers hanging around, didn't imagine that game could get much worse, but heres the proof.
