It's a fun little card game where you're king, and your presented with each scenario that you either say yes or no two.

Each yes or no affects your kingdoms Economy/Army/Populace/Religion, and you have to balance these four pillars to stay alive. Let any of them get too high or too low and you're reign of terror is over... and then you play as your successor. Which is fun because you get to see the long last affect your choices have.

also the game will make you not want to trust your dog ever again...

I'm having quite a bit of fun with it, and it's cheap at $2.99

That sounds kind of neat. I'm not sure if it's $3 neat as I imagine that would get pretty boring pretty quickly but still...

As I still do not see point in them.
Don't let that put you off as... well I've really enjoyed what I've played.

Devolver always delivers the good shit.

Lets put if this way...

It's Hotline Miami level deep.

Not Conquer the world deep, but deep enough that is satisfying like scratching a mosquito itch.

It's a Devolver indie title. It's cheap, not unreasonable to play on PC, but has a core interface mechanic that is trivial to also do on phones.

It's basically Kingdoms: Tinder Edition. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Basically you get presented with a situation and either swipe it left or right to make a choice. You have 4 stats, and if any bar either gets full or empty that ruler probably dies (then you proceed to the next one). For example, if your military bottoms out you'll get invaded but if it maxes out there's a coup. There's at least one where you get deposed but get to live out your days (maxxed populace, maybe? I don't recall).

Most of the mechanics are turn based, a handful run in real time (for example, the Silk Road increases wealth over time in real time -- if your wealth is high that means you need to act quickly and spend money to keep it from maxxing out). There's a dueling minigame and dungeon exploration, though dungeon exploration has a constant real time drain on all stats, as your kingdom falls apart without you.
