PSN to Feature Cross game chat among other fetures upon its return

So as so may have seen on the PSN blog that Psn will return this week, But sony have said that they will be beefing up the network while its down. This is a very very good thing, given its true. Well, Do you think that cross game chat will come along with the re-launch, or do you think it's just something they are developing, that we will see in a couple of months? And does it make up for the wait?

Does it make up for the wait? You mean it took a massive crash for them to finally implement something that should have been done like 4 years ago?

PSN being down is not a big thing to me nor is cross-game chat. I don't want to chat with my friends online unless we are playing the same game online together. When we want to chat, we hang out together.

Of course, cross-game chat can only be a good thing as if you don't want to use it, you don't have to.

I thought that one of the reasons why it wasn't implemented sooner was cause Microsoft owned the copyright to the technology or something like that?
