PSP games that don't suck?

The PSP is an odd little duck. It's games are either breathtakingly awesome, or so bad you feel ashamed you bought the UMD.

There is very little middle ground, very little "This game was Ok" its either amazingly addictive and fun, or trash.

I haven't picked up a PSP game for a while now, my PSP has mainly been an emulation-station and I was wondering what my fellow Escapists considered some of the "must play" PSP titles of the past year?

Resistance: Retribution, Dissidia and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. All gold, these are the only games I got for my PSP. (traded everything else in for them!)

Otherwise, the Katamari game is very fun, and apparently, the God of War game on it is good.

Resistance: Retribution is a fantastic game.
And the Siphon Filters don't suck.
MGS: Portable Ops was also entertaining enough.
And of course, God Of War: Chains of Olympus is pure violent goodness.
Oh, and all the GTA games on it are gold.

Loved the GTA Stories, Amazing what the little PSP can do. Didnt care too much for china town wars, Sister inlaw got it for the DS and the PSP version seems identical but without the novelty of touchscreen.

How is the new Monster Hunter? The first 2 were great but playing solo, you sort of run into a brick wall in difficulty, the game is really meant to be enjoyed with others.

Final Fantasy : Crisis Core is a must have.
God of war is just as good as it was on ps2 (amazing that is)
I liked Killzone Liberation

I highly recommend Final Fantasy Dissidia. Monster hunter freedom Unite is pretty good, and the Assassin's creed game is also good.

I got one because I didn't have one.... *regrets* actually the remote play PS1 and ability to watch all your media remotely is dope! That saved for me

Lumines is addicting.
That is however as far as I can think in terms of good psp games, so you see, it's really lacking.
Oh, Monster hunter if you can sink time into a handheld game.
