According to GMA News [http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/284637/showbiz/showbizabroad/psy-admits-getting-tired-of-gangnam-style]:

South Korean pop music sensation Psy admitted Saturday that he sometimes gets sick of his massive hit "Gangnam Style" but will continue performing the number that made him world-famous.

Speaking at a news conference in Singapore ahead of a free performance for fans, the 34-year-old -- clad in a black suit and his trademark sunglasses -- was modest about his fame and said he was just another person doing his job.

"Sometimes, honestly, yes I get tired or I get sick of it because I got so many requests to teach them, you know, like average let me say 50 requests per city, per country," said Psy, whose full name is Park Jae-Sang.
But Psy said that despite the many times he has performed the number, "I really like the dance still."

The chubby K-pop veteran made his debut in South Korea in 2001 but it was only 11 years later that he shot to global fame with "Gangnam Style", which a week ago made history by becoming the most watched video on YouTube.

The video has so far notched up more than 860 million views, overtaking "Baby" by Canadian teen heart-throb Justin Bieber, on more than 807 million.

"Gangnam Style", which parodies the extravagant lifestyles of residents of an upmarket Seoul neighbourhood, has inspired thousands of online imitations, and flash mobs of tens of thousands in Paris, Rome and Milan.

The song has also earned Psy a nomination in the "People's Choice" category of Time magazine's "Person of the Year 2012" contest together with other newsmakers such as US President Barack Obama, China's Communist Party head Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
Getting tired of the Gangnam yourself?

It's still a catchy song but yeah, I'm starting to get sick of it.

There is such thing as too much of a good thing. If the media hadn't fixated on or used the song so much, it wouldn't be as bad. That being said, after almost 6 months it is time we find something else to move on to.

It's so bad for me right now, no matter where I go, I hear the stupid thing.

Bar? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Party? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Club? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Sporting Event? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

At work? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

At school? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Radio? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Internet Browsing? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

As for Psy, this is like what Gotye said a while back while everyone was all about "Somebody That I Used to Know". These guys have other songs they probably like better, but now they're forever associated with one song

Like better and/or wish to bring more exposure to. I'm not familiar with Psy's other work but I assume he has some other songs that mean more to him than just some 'party anthem'. Kind of hard to promote new songs when everyone will keep comparing them to his previous mega-hit.

See, I thought I would be sick of it by now, but actually I'm not.

That may be because it seems that it isn't being played and talked about (at least by people I know)

And I also listen to various remixes and mash-ups of it that keep it rather fresh.

Exactly. I mean to me there's two types of one-hit wonders. There's the Carly Rae Jepsen's/Daniel Powter type of one-hit wonder, where the person may have other material, but their "hit" is part of their first recorded.

And then there's the Psy's/Gotye's of the world, people who have been doing this for a while, have a nice collection of music and then one of their songs goes viral. Then everything else they've done is pretty much irrelevant. And usually the "famous song" is one that the artist just made on a whim or didn't put much time into it

While I'm a fan of Gangam Style myself, I understand Psy's sentiments. Some artists want to be remembered for more than just the hugely popular thing they did.

Lets be honest, it was headed towards "Who Let The Dogs Out?" territory from the moment it got popular.

I'm just surprised we've gone this far with out someone making the logical parody "Oppa Gundam Style"

Yes, Gangnam Style is getting a bit old. It's not the fault of the song, but rather the fault of the people who repeat it over...

and over...

and over...

and over...

and... Ok you get the point. It's gotten to the point where almost everywhere I go, I hear it, whether it's on the radio or people singing it.

When I first saw it way back in July, I thought that it would be only a matter of time before it became known and repeated everywhere. When that happened, it was only a matter of time before it got old.

It's not a bad song or video. Not by a long shot. And honestly, it does still make me chuckle and smile. But even the best things get annoying when they're overused.

Captcha: Skynet is watching.... I feel like I should put something witty here, but the captcha says it all.

I was under the impression that it was already sort of dying off. Sure it was annoyingly huge the 1st few weeks but after that, I heard nothing of it other than the occasional reference. Hell, the last time I saw it was when South Park parodied it in their Halloween episode. So ya...I don't think it is quite as strong as it once was. For me there really is nothing to get tired of.

I was walking to work the other day and heard it being played from radios in six different venues and vehicles....... It's a catchy tune, but god damn it's overplayed!

It's Oppan, not Oppa. That aside, I'm not any less tired of it than I was before. It was a satirical song with a funny video, nothing too special for me.

I must exist in a different realm or something, because hardly anyone in my town knows what Gangnam Style even is, much less seen/heard it. Consequently, I haven't reached saturation point quite yet.

It's a fun song every now and then, but I wouldn't want to hear it everywhere I go.

Not sic of it, since I haven't heard it in a while now. It's just that the feeling you had for it at first has kinda dissapeared, and now it's just a regular fun song.

Yeah, I got tired of it kind of quickly.
It's a pretty catchy song but it's just too overplayed.
I had the same problem with "Don't Stop Believing".
Good song, played WAY too much.
