Some of my earliest game experiences came from puzzle games and because of that they hold a special place in my heart. I cut my teeth on the Dr. Brain games and The Incredible Toon Machine, ran through Portal over and over again, and haven't stopped playing Tetris since my first grey brick of a gameboy.
Recently I discovered World of Goo which exemplifies many of the qualities I look for in a puzzle game. The gameplay really plays towards my architectural aspirations, there are many different ways to complete each puzzle, and every part of it feels polished including the graphics, music, controls and even story. All that is missing so far is a developers pack so I can create my own levels.
Still, my eyes are on the horizon and I'd like to know if there are any new puzzle games which I should look into after I get through World of Goo.
