so my question is pretty simple are the kree in the comic books as much as a bunch of assholes as they are in the movie or not. Also what were your guys thoughts on guardians of the galaxy i personally had a super good time watching it.

Well, I've never read the comics.

But one tried to
Destroy the entire universe with an infinity stone

while the others
Told the Nova representative that the rogue Kree trying to destroy the galaxy and murdering families and children in cold blood was their problem, not the Kree government's.

So it kinda looks like most are assholes. :/

Except for Drax.

As for the movie, it was by far the best movie I've ever seen. Way better than Avengers, no matter what people try to tell you!

Don't know about the comic books. The film was a lot of fun and the comedy worked surprisingly well despite of or perhaps because of my low expectations. I just don't think there's a lot of heart underneath all those '70s and '80s jokes. It seems to thrive on nostalgia for the things it cannot do on its own. Maybe I'm unfairly comparing it to Star Wars, but then the movie compares itself to a lot of 70s-80s classics all the time. And I don't think there's anything new under that pretension.

Also the villain is just another token bad guy in MCU's long assembly line of token bad guys. Nothing to even begin to talk about.

The Kree in the comics are an imperialistic race of conquerors who, at one point, had a second race that was more peaceful on their world but were wiped out because reasons. Since then, the Kree helped push along Earth's evolution by creating the Inhumans, who were abandoned only because the Supreme Intelligence (giant head possessing the collective intellect of their species) viewed the Inhumans as a threat. Ronan himself serves for the betterment of his people and is not just purely evil. He's not below standing beside Thor, just another big man with a good hammer, if it suits his purposes. In a recent storyline, after the Avengers went offworld to fight off an invasion of highly advanced "builders"- alien race who basically seeded all life, Ronan in return led the charge against Thanos and his generals who had taken Earth while the Avengers were away. He was even part of a team for a time assembled by Cosmo, that space dog with the astronaut uniform in the movie.

Well, I'd say it's a mitigating circumstance that
Ronan seems to be unusually fanatic concerning the ancient Kree laws, that is to say, he's an exception to the rule, while the comics Ronan was taking orders from the Kree empire.
