Quick question about the Mega Man games

I've never played a Mega Man game, but I recently found Mega Man 9 and 10 on the XBLA and I was wondering which one to buy or if I should just get both.

So, is 9 better than 10 or vice versa or is there really no difference?

Also, why do they just have 9 and 10? Surely they should start with the first one and go upwards.

9 and 10 were just made recently and are only available as digital downloads from things such as XBLA. If you want the first 8, you can pick up Mega Man Anniversary Collection for PS2 or Gamecube since it has all of them.

I've never been able to play 9 or 10 due to not having any console past the gamecube/ps2 but I'd say get both of them. Mega Man games are consistently good.

Of those two, I feel 9 is the better game, but 10 lets you play as Proto Man if you're into that. They're both pretty good games overflowing with old school goodness. If you can pick both up, I don't think you'd be disappointed.
