Well, as you all know, Skyrim is coming out this November, and I like many others am stoked that it's going to come out. Any how, seeing how there is going to be a marriage system in the game, I figured that I'm going to play an imperial male, and marry an argonian woman.

Now here is the question, is this considered to be a furry?

Being an Argonian does not make you a furry under the condition that you are a shadowscale assassin, because poisoned shortsword + sneak attack = awesome.

Also forgot of mention, I'm a bit of an artist... sorry for not saying that... I'll have some of my argonian/ khajiit work up soon on Deviant Art.

Drawing artwork of it might make more of a case for being a furry, but you could still just be an artist who draws furry stuff. There are so many definitions of "furry" that it's hard to pin down where the line is. Personally I just put it at having a fursona, so if you don't have one of those you're safe in my book.

Nope, it makes you a scaley.

... Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Honestly, though, why do you care? It's your life, your hobby-time, just enjoy it and respect those that don't want to hear about it. (IF they respect that you do :D)

Eh, only if you consider the romance options in ME2 like Thane, Tali and Liara to be furry. At any rate it's only role play, it's not like your into the porn.

Argonians have scales.

But they are more awesome than the other races, so my term for it is "understandable".

That's great, even if I'm not seeing the relevance to the topic or why you're apologising.

Have we really reached the stage in our descent that we must plan our virtual relationships?

I know this is about furriism and my misgivings aren't a bit irrelevant, but seriously.

My points can be summarized thusly:

1. Despite what some e-bigots would have you think, being a furry, or being into anthropomorphic characters is not something to be repulsed by or ashamed of.

2. The only thing that is weird about your worry is that you have thought about it in advance at all. If I decide to get married in Skyrim it will either be part of a quest I'm doing, or will be an ill-considered, split-second decision that I will solve later with murder. I will not plan it in advance and I will certainly not get all jittery about whether it makes me a furry or not, and neither should you.

Seriously, DOES It matter? I mean are you, yourself a furry? do you care that the race is an animal? are you not going to play because of that? are you just curious about it?

That depends.

Are you making a character based on yourself?

If no, then you're roleplaying a character. If yes, then you may very well be.
