Once again, Escapist, I turn to you for help in a game/game-related matter. You've never let me down so far, and you guys don't seem to mind helping, so here we go.

In Citadel, how do I get to more "hanging-out" sessions with my crew? Like, while I'm preparing the party, I get all the messages from James, Tali, Garrus, EDI, Traynor and Javik to hang out. So, I go and do all of those, and then... nothing. No more messages ever appear. I know that there are more such scenes, because I see them floating around Youtube. There's supposed to be one with Grunt, one with Jacob, etc. So why don't those ever appear for me? What am I doing wrong?

As always, any advice is deeply appreciated.

Some of them cue organically, without getting a message - I can think of a few in the casino, for example, where you just need to walk up to the place and press the "wait for..." button. There's a couple upstairs in the bar (one with Joker, another with Wrex) and another one downstairs with Kasumi where you've just gotta go there. For others just keep checking your messages in your apartment.

I think there's also some that only cue if you've made specific choices earlier in the game or during the party or if you've got specific relationships with the different crew members - I don't think it's possible to see EVERYTHING on one playthrough.

It depends on where you are with regards to the party preparations. Go ahead and pick up the party supplies. The "locked-in/no turning back" part comes when you're prompted to invite whomever you wish to the party. As for hanging out with people, you have to complete each batch before the next one opens up.

I think it also depends on where you are in the ME3 story. The best time to do the DLC is just before assaulting TIM's base otherwise, you might miss out on some interactions.

Hope this helps.

AH-HA! Okay, I'm thinking THIS might be my problem. To clarify: are you saying that as soon as I return to the Apartment with the Party supplies and get the prompt to send invites, I'm locked in and can have no more "hanging out" scenes? 'Cause if so, then I think I've found the issue.

You can have the hanging out scenes after the party- I had the party, did a few non-DLC missions and then did the hanging out. Some of them aren't in the apartment- you have to go to the casino/arena. I think for Jack's you need to complete the arena battles, not too sure.

In my playthrough, you're only locked in AFTER sending the invites. Just keep doing the hangouts you do have and more should become avaliable.

Whenever I played Citadel, I saved it for just before the last mission against Cerberus, so that way every other mission involving a squadmate was over and done with. I played through the Citadel missions, and once they were over, I did the first set of hangout scenes, then bought the party supplies and went back to the apartment. Once I got there, I had a bunch of new messages for new hangout things.

So, before sending out any invites, just complete a set of scenes, go back to the apartment, and you should have some more messages prompting more hangouts. Some actually involve inviting them individually to the apartment (Different from the party invites), while others you have to seek out on the Strip.

You get some invites from the computer on the Normandy. I'd suggest doing the main Citadel storyline and then running off to your ship afterwards to check the comp.

Some of them just pop up as well. Just wander around the Strip until you find them.

No, you can buy the supplies and faff about all you want after that. Once you get back to your apartment, Glyph will tell you that the party will start whenever you send out your invites. You can wander around, check your messages, play games, do arena battles, etc for hours on end before getting to those invites, if you so wish.

So to reiterate, you're only locked in once you actually send out the invitations.

What you essentially have to do is, as mentioned somewhere above, do one batch of hang outs, then leave/come back to the appartment, where you should have more waiting for you at your terminal.

And as also mentioned, some will become available at different points in the story (so everything won't be available until the Cerberus base assault)

Well, fuck. I've tried every piece of advice I've been given, and nothing's working. I did all the hangouts available, then spent a fucking hour and a half wnaderign around the strip, checking my messages, and repeating, and not a damn thing happened. I dunno, I guess I'm just cursed, or my console is bugged or something.

Eh, fuck it. I give up.

I'm pretty sure there are some that just won't ever cue depending on some of the myriad of factors and choices in your particular save game.

Maybe post YouTube links for the specific ones you can't find and people might know how they're normally cued?

That's not half a bad idea. I can't really post links at the moment for reasons and such, but I can list the ones I did get:

*Watch movie with Tali

*Set Garrus up on date

*Help Traynor defeat chess nemesis (Fucking hilarious)

*Work out with Vega (Awesome)

*Shop with EDI

*Star in vid with Javik (Hilarious AND Awesome)
