Personally I'm more of a fan of his Highwayman series.
The Drizzt stuff, while well written (...for the most part. Read the first chapter of the first book of the crystal shard series; It's kind of... weird) I find not as interesting, mostly because of the titular character being uninteresting. Yeah, he's better than most of the "I come from a stereotypically evil race that are evil for some inadequetely explained reason but I'm actually a really good guy but prejudice and stuff and life is so hard you guys" characters you see, but there's only so much you can do with that and I think the character has worn out his welcome a little.
That said, it's still an ejoyable read, of course.
I actually found that Entreri guy to be more interesting (yes, still a somewhat stock character, but better done, I think), and in fact I enjoyed his novels more than the sort of 'main series' stuff.
Now watch me get flamed for saying something positive about the Drizzt series.
