I just saw this on youtube...
And it got Me thinking about Ragdoll Physics.

Personally I'm all for stupidly insane Jigglebones, but how could the forces applied to it result in a Charger doing a shoryuken?

he was jumping, then ragdoll took over. When the charger jumps he lift his big hand. The motion carries through with ragdoll fun. Personally I love insanly stupid ragdolls. It's what made crashing in GTA IV all the more fun.

True. I love the game PAIN on the PSN. When my buddies and I get drunk, it's always the go-to distraction of the evening. Nothing quite as satisfying as spread-eagleing an old lady with a walker in the face with a midget ninja and watching them both tumble rag-doll style into a subway train.

I hate ragdoll physics. They aren't fun to look at especially when the tech is there to make a realistic impression of physics.

This is a funny ragdoll video and it's still pretty realistic :]

Ragdoll Physics are amusing to say the least, though they are essentially a part of gaming now. I can't think of a new game that doesn't employ some form of ragdoll no matter how small. Though it all comes down to how well the physics are done. Gears of War 2 amused me to no end with the bodies being moved around like the ground was slicked with ice.

I'm not a huge fan of ragdoll physics anymore, I enjoyed it when it first came out because in general it was an upgrade. But now it just seems so out of place in games and can break the atmosphere. It really gets noticeable/insane in left for dead; and I really don't get why they are so bad in that game considering the physics aren't insane in something like TF2. I can't tell you how many times I've just been like baffled when playing a smoker, shot in like the leg or arm and killed and then watch as the body cartwheels across the map.

I love the ragdoll physics. Especially in the Lef 4 Dead series. There can be quite funny moments.

Though the old school death animations (such as Golden Eye and Perfect Dark) has their own charm.

The Euphoria Engine is a very beloved fun sandbox of mine, even if they do tend to grab a little too much.
Ragdoll physics are fun, yes.
