Have ou ever exsperianced a random act of kindness? Have you ever did somthing like pay for the person behind you in a drive through? Or have you exsperianced somthing of this sort?

I think that humans are in genral are kind people, but a few dicks just stick out like chocolate staine on a white shirt.

PS Sorry for spelling!

EDIT: What are somethings that we could do?

I don't know, giving away all of my stuff on my Maplestory character that I was planning on deleting? I guess it counts, as I put in some effort to find someone to give the stuff to.

I saw two sisters in the corner store, the younger was begging for ice creme (it was over 100 here in western Washington very unusual). So I gave the girl a dollar to get an ice creme bar. The older sister of snatched the money out of her hand before the kid could finish saying thank you for the money. Then she ran off to get another candy bar.

What a little *****, it is all that candy that makes her fat like that. I might have also said something similar out loud at the time...

I don't know...
That "stuff" is all just bits of code anyways.

And, yes, I have been a recipient. But she called it a "Random act of love" instead.

I used to go to school in New York City, and they had just started quartering off Washington Square Park for construction before I left. It drove out a lot of the homeless people who slept there for the night or spent their days there. On my way back from the dining halls I would often take what I didn't finish, or a small cup of soup during the winter, to this one woman who relocated a few blocks away. I'd like to think she appreciated it.

Also: spell check, man...

Bits of code have "real world" value, be they items (or more often, money) in a game or website coding.

RAK, Random ass kicking. Narrowly avoided one of those Monday with my 2 mates, Long story and couldn't be arsed writing it. Random act of kindness...uhm, didn't run over the snaking scooter pricks at the skatey, not sure if that counts.

True.

Not to mention that Mesos, ISK, and any other MMO currency has enough value for people to illegally sell it. What's even more dissapointing is that there are people who will buy it.

I do like a nice RAK.
...
I don't think I've ever received one, or my expectations for what people should always act like are too high.

I like buying homeless people on the street actual food. I don't give them money because they can spend that on drugs and booze. Sometimes it really pisses them off that I give them food instead of money. Then I know that they are just going to spend the money on smack or cheap wine. But most of the people are just grateful.

As for me getting a RAK once I ran out of gas on the side of the highway. My old VW Bug had an issue with the gas gauge. Sometimes it got stuck and I could not tell how much gas I really had. I was really far from a gas station. I also forgot my cell phone. I was totally screwed. Some random normal looking guy stopped and gave me a ride to the nearest gas station and then back to my car. I wanted to give the guy some cash for the trouble but he really did not want me to. What a cool guy.

People give value to everything, from the most impractical of things to the most necessary of staple items.

But yeah, 'gold' buyers suck. If they didn't buy, there'd be no value and thus no market.

I suppose I should jot down my 'random' act of kindness.

Was walking through town while the sun was still dwindling on the horizon on a warm summer's eve when I was approached by a mid twenties lass. Long, blonde tussled hair, 'trendy' clothes, expensive looking handbag, pretty face and god awful dental hygiene. I'm talking black gums with misshapen and bent teeth here. It was probably her worst characteristic.

She asked if I had any money, she had left her purse in Meadowhall - the local 'hypermarket' of Sheffield - and wouldn't be able to get it back until tomorrow when the stores reopened. She produced a notebook and in impeccable cursive script had a number of details on trains, busses and coaches from Sheffield to Oxford where she was trying to return to. Coach fare was some £20, however I only had a fiver on me which was meant to be going on drinks for the evening with my friends. However, in light of her plight I decided that alcohol in my blood was secondary to a young woman being stuck in a different city with no money and no friends and as such, donated my money to her cause in the hopes that she made her way home. She offered to pay me back double for my trouble via post once she had her purse back, but I told her it wasn't necessary, gave her my money and bid her good luck.

Never found out if she made her way home, but I certainly hope so.

I don't do it for people I don't know, but it's the little things that count, you know? It doesn't have to be something valuable, hell it could be something that isn't worth any money. However, it's the things that usually don't have any other meaning to anyone else but the person who's receiving it. It could be something as simple as listening to someone when they're down, or watching someone's kids when they need some time off, or simply hanging out with your family. In my entirely non-concise way of saying it, we do kind things all the time; it doesn't have to be something special like giving a gift, just something simple usually means more to someone.

I once gave a twentie doller bill to a homeless woman who needed it. Afterwards one of the kids from my school told her that she shouldnt spend it on drugs. (One of those sorry kids who believes everything they see on TV) A freind of mine gave him a bloody lip for his trouble.

I have never gotten a random act of kindness. Ahh well. Im ok with that. As long as someone is getting theirs.

When I was scrolling down to get to the Reply to Thread box the first two lines blurred together and it looked like you said you gave drugs to her.

Other than on the rare occasion I get drive in food I'll pay 30 dollar tell them to keep the change and use it to pay for the next guys food.
