if you double the width of paper 42 times (2x as thick, then 4x, then 8x, etc.), it can reach the moon.

If you place a grain of rise on the chessboard on the first square, two on the second, four on the third and so on, doubling the number of grains on each subsequent square, you will end up with 18 446 744 073 709 551 615 grains of rise.

If one grain of rise weighs 0.02 grams, the total weight of that would be roughly 0.369 eksagrams. That is 369 billion kilograms.

And rather, at any given bief instant of time. The areas that are active change even during that. And for very good reason: if every single neuron was firing at every single time, our brains would fry themselves in short order. Neurons need rest too, to recover ions and transmitter chemicals lost during operation.

For those who believe they ever use only 10% of their brain, I recommend reviewing frontal lobotomy as it was used as medical procedure - it takes far less than 90% off.

Humans have a blind spot in each eye where the optical nerve comes through the retina. Octopodes (rarely used plural form of octopus) do not have a blind spot because their optical nerve wraps around the retina (which also means they can't get detached retinas). There's like four for the price of one!

Be that as it may, a solid wooden (Japanese-style) practice sword is indeed called a bokken, or alternatively, a bokto.
