Now out of all the games out there I often wondered that with the big colossal games such as Call of duty Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted Drakes fortune, Assassins Creed 2, Left for dead 2, etc (that came out in 2009). I often feel that they steal the show to other great games such as the recent Ratchet and Clank title. I often wondered why this game seemed to not be recognized in 2009 for being an absolutely good quality game; Insomniac worked pretty hard working on this title. I mean X play never once acknowledged them nor did any other game magazine (or even won an award from any of them). Instead it was crushed by the big monolithic games out there Call of Duty and Uncharted Among thieves. I know the awards were judged by popular vote and sales but come-on people is that really fair? I mean Infinity ward is going to crush the competition it was inevitable. Along with Naughty Dog, but truly it is sad to even see Halo ODST get some recognition as well. It was due that we are all attracted to the FPS genre that I often feel that us gamers sometimes need to break the boundaries instead of going for the usual FPS. For instance Ratchet and Clank a Crack in time I felt went over many people's heads. I just introduced my friend (a hardcore FPS enthusiast) to this adventure game recently. This was the first time he had ever played a Ratchet and Clank game in the series, and he felt like this game should have gained some good renown. Hell he went out and bought all of the ps2 games and the recent PS3 titles, and once he caught up to par with the story he loved the series even more and wondered why it is not as popular. My friend implied for its good soundtrack from the various radio stations that can be heard in game such as Pirate Radio and House of Synth. Not to mention the amazing in-game sound, Voice acting, and intriguing game play Ratchet and Clank was a good game that delved into the imagination and mesmerized you in its storyline and characters. The innovative weapons and the amazing overkill gun RYNO V. In conclusion looking back I think Ratchet was left out cold, and deserved some attention. Ratchet and Clank is an underrated good game that no one seemed to care about. Now in 2010 I often feel that last year was all about the FPS and nothing else mattered, with a sprinkle of action adventure from Drake, and a assassins creed on top .

Fun Fact: Hell Nolan North voiced Sigmund who also voiced Nathan Drake, James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet in all of the games as well as numerous voice roles, David Kayne as Clank, and Armin Shimerman as Nefarious did voice acting in Bioshock, all were good voice actors that contributed. As well as Charles Martinet as Orvus, a voice actor from the Mario Series.

Yeah, say me about that. "Underrated" does not even begin to describe it. And the series in general.

I wouldn't say under rated, under appreciated without a doubt though.
I really do want to get around to playing the newest one, really enjoyed the last, but it was just released at an odd time, amongst too many other good games. If it came out in the Summer I'd have bought it on release day.
