I've liked this series, as most of RLM stuff, but do you think we'll ever see an episode with Jay 'da bae' Bauman and Rich Evans doing an analysis together? They never seem to interact very much in anything. I can't think of any film they would be able to discuss for a half hour as just the two of them, considering their largely different vocabularies.

Josh the Wizard and Rich Evans would be an even weirder pairing.

I feel like the problem with this series, though to a point RLM in general, is that Jay is the only one of them who actually has good taste in movies. I love Mike, he has by far the best sense of humour among them and is, generally speaking, probably the best entertainer but as an actual reviewer he seems to be, frankly, kind of a normie.

Because of re: View I've actually started to like Josh. I hella appreciated that video they did about Eraserhead, I can't bring myself to care much about stuff like Starship Troopers or The Mist, which seems to be the kinda stuff Mike is into. Which is fine, he actually reminds me a bit of my dad when it comes to movies, never quite left the 80s behind him but I'll never be able to give a shit about shlocky 80s and 80s throwback movies. And yes, I understand the satire in Starship Troopers and no, I don't think it's all that well executed. It sure is no Robocop, despite having been made by the same director.

Jay and... shame on me, I only know him as AIDS-Moby. You know. Bald guy. I think if it wasn't for Mike and Jay they'd just be the kind of nerdy middle-aged fanboys RLM usually makes fun of. Just a pair of comicbook and scifi geeks. Not that there's anything wrong with it but for a channel so critical of nerd culture they sure are hung up on Marvel and Star Wars.

I'm not so sure about that, considering both Mike and Rich refer to extremely good movies outside of the nerd-o-sphere often enough. Rich maybe a little less, but considering they're, to my knowledge, all filmschool graduates I find it hard to believe that they don't all have a rich palette of movie tastes and appreciation.

If anything that's why I'm sometimes a little bummed that they're so hung-up with the Marvel and Star Wars stuff, but on the other hand it's also nice to get a breakdown of such popular movies from such knowledgeable people for once. It's nice to listen to them talk about them without them descending into vapid geek fanboying.

I found this:
As for why there isn't more videos: I don't know. Maybe Rich and Jay doesn't have the same onscreen chemistry as Jay and Mike. Or maybe their movie tastes are too different, and there isn't that many classic movies for them to talk about. *shrug*

That drunk, bald, country nerd with AIIIDS is called Jack! ...And i haven't seen him in RLM videos lately. Guess he's just doing game reviews with Rich Evans now.
