I feel like the problem with this series, though to a point RLM in general, is that Jay is the only one of them who actually has good taste in movies. I love Mike, he has by far the best sense of humour among them and is, generally speaking, probably the best entertainer but as an actual reviewer he seems to be, frankly, kind of a normie.
Because of re: View I've actually started to like Josh. I hella appreciated that video they did about Eraserhead, I can't bring myself to care much about stuff like Starship Troopers or The Mist, which seems to be the kinda stuff Mike is into. Which is fine, he actually reminds me a bit of my dad when it comes to movies, never quite left the 80s behind him but I'll never be able to give a shit about shlocky 80s and 80s throwback movies. And yes, I understand the satire in Starship Troopers and no, I don't think it's all that well executed. It sure is no Robocop, despite having been made by the same director.
Jay and... shame on me, I only know him as AIDS-Moby. You know. Bald guy. I think if it wasn't for Mike and Jay they'd just be the kind of nerdy middle-aged fanboys RLM usually makes fun of. Just a pair of comicbook and scifi geeks. Not that there's anything wrong with it but for a channel so critical of nerd culture they sure are hung up on Marvel and Star Wars.
