Reading Too Much Into It?

On Friday, me and a large group of friends decided to go to BW3 to eat. When we got there, they couldn't seat our party of about 16 together, so we decided to split into 3 groups, and each group have a "captain" to choose who would be in the groups. My best friend was one of them. She ended up choosing three people before she choose me. I was kinda upset by it but put it off for the night.

Am I reading too much into this? Or is my sense of disappoint justified?

I would be too, but i tend to read to much into stuff, so my opinion is not a very good pointer...

I read way too much into everything, even the way in which people said things and their body language. I'd be inclined to say it means nothing, but I'd be a little pissed/confused as well, if I were in that position.

I'm hopelessly paranoid.

That was kinda lame of her.
If it bothers you, you should take it up with her. I can see how that can be a bit hard to do.
But her answer may make you feel better :)

Yeah, sounds like your reading to much into it. Fair does if she never picked you that would be a bit weirder, but since she still chose you theres no problem.

Yes. She has other friends within your group I'm assuming? Maybe she is closer to them than you? Or maybe she secretly hates you with the burning passion of a thousand suns? We will never know.

Eh, I'd be a little disappointed, but don't read too much into it.
They still picked you.

Wouldn't you expect someone who says you are their best friend to be closest to you?

Step 1. Don't murder her
Step 2. Confront her about it. Tell her how it made you feel.
Step 3. Don't murder her
Step 4. Try to work out your friendship to where you can both be more sensitive to eachother's feelings.
Step 5. If none of that works. MURDER HER!

Well personally I have five or six people I would consider to be my "best friends" it is very possible that she may have a similar arrangement.

When I was in high school, my group of friends all considered each other "best friends". If you two are really close she probably didn't mean to offend you, it's not like she didn't pick you at all.

So, I guess another question is, should I bring it up to her or just forget about it? The general consensus seems to be "forget about it."
