I wish customizing cars and meeting up with other people was really popular again like the fast and furious movies with cars that are actually every day affordable cars but they were built into amazing machines. With the new movies I feel like there is a shift into more exotic expensive cars. Why not keep it how it was when it was really popular?

But yes, street racing is horrendously unsafe for everyone involved and generally nearby, and for that reason it is illegal. If you really want to race your overcompensating waste of money tricked out ride that badly, just find some private property to do it on. But don't you dare risk my life just for some pointless thrills.

Though, I think in LA, someone got an abandoned helicopter airfield or something and made a racing venue out of it.

Otherwise, yeah, it's more than a little bit fucking insanely stupid to race on public roads in the middle of a city.
