Have you ever play a game where the bosses are really hard and you just wonder how strong the final boss must be? Then been completely let down when you fought him?

Recently I found my old NES and a game called Shatterhand. I remembered that I never finished the game before so I thought I would give it a try. Almost all the bosses kicked my ass and when I finally made it to the final boss after hours of work and swearing I kicked his ass on my 2nd attempt. Just had to get close to him and kneel down and he was powerless to stop me. Kind of a disappointing fight.

Lucien from Fable 2, although I didn't think the ending was disappointing...it made sense that he would be super easy.

UM... Gears of War 2 really, Fable 2 does have the shard but with gears 2 its a case of hold RT to win.

too late.

The ME2 reaper was a bit of let a down but to be fair on it I did use the M-920 Cain which i assume saved me a reasonable amount of time in killing him.

The Super Computer from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Just needed to upgrade my armour to protect me from electricity.

Deadly Premonition, it's long, but the Final Boss barely even attacks you, Crash Bandicoot 1, William Birkin from Resident Evil 2 (Scenario B), Crackdown (they can be a pain to get to, but themselves they're quite easy) there's more but those are off the top of my head.

Not quite...

OT: All of the Fables had incredibly easy end-bosses, even by the low standards of the regular enemies in those games. Fable 1 ended with Jack Of Blades, and I killed him in seconds on my first try with a couple of bow shots. Fable 3 ended with...

... the possessed Walter, who was pretty much just a single normal guy. My tactic to defeat him was simply to roll away and then mash the shoot button.

The final battle in GTA Vice City Stories. You go to the roof of a skyscraper and meet the antagonist and one of his partners. You fight them just like you fight any other enemy in the game. They have no special attacks and die in about 3 hits.

The last fight in Human Revolution. Blow up turrets with laser gun, hack computers, win.

Hell you didn't even need that, you could have just stood on top of the partitions where the floor wont hurt you and just wait it out.

Bowser's boss fights from mario sunshine and the two galaxy games fit in this topic, but all the bosses from those games are easy. Even as a kid playing sunshine for the first time, the levels were harder than the very bosses I had to eventually face and that was truly disappointing.

Yeah, pretty much. First guy I was thinking. But then, it makes sense in context. The big monster you had to fight through to get to him was effectively his body, and Jecht was basically his last line of defense. After that, what's left? He's a naked soul. What can a naked soul do? Not much.

The weird monster thing with the Tentacles at the end of Dead Space... that thing was just plain disappointing. At least it killed whatever that b***h was called...

The final boss in Borderlands... It was half way dead while they were still explaining what it was, and dead dead when they were pointing out that the big glowing eye was probably its weak point.

Same here! I played the soldier, had mastery of the Shotgun, so I dopeed my turret down, walked right up to it's face, and finished it off within a minute by myself. That was a good day for me!

The final boss in KH2 was kinda easy to me. I freaked out when I first played it, but Xemnas was a fun, yet easy final boss. But, to be fair, I haven't played it on the hard setting yet.

i actually want j-rpgs have difficulty levels. ending boss in XIII gave me a very hard time i hope they put easy mode (already patched in Japanese XIII vesions ) in XIII-2. Some j-rpgs already do have difficulty levels like Ar Tonelico Qoga i got through whole game on easy and never had any problem with bosses, ending boss too. that's what i like.
