Or maybe reasons you'll be more careful about it. Personally, I have regretted every single game I have ever traded in at my local EB. Here are a few of them:

American McGee's Alice. (I regretted this so much that I bought it back in a combo pack with Clive Barker's Undying.)

The original Metal Gear Solid for PC. That game was rare, and it was great; I have no idea what I was thinking.

Star Trek: Elite Force. I kind of want to play through it again - after all, it's been at least five or six years - but that's not an option since I traded it in and will certainly never find it in stores again.

I know there were others, but they're not popping into my mind right now. So how about you - what do you wish you could get back?

This kind of thing is exactly why I never trade in old games. I'll never know when I'll want to play it again. (although I'm probably going to trade in GHIII. I'm pretty sure I won't regret that one.)

I cant trade in my old games anyway. Most of them sucked according to reviews and now I can see why (sonic heroes) but as a kid I loved them and I can still have fun with them.

Soldier of Fortune 2, the number of players decreased quite badly on servers, but its still hold dear in my heart, I only sold it at a time I was desperate for money.

I traded Super Monkey Ball, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom in. They may not be what I'd buy today, but I remember enjoying them at the time and would like them back.

I'll never trade any old games in again because they're rare, now!! I hate phantom brave, but no chance in hell i'm turning that in for $0.50

I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this thinking. I have regretted every single game (of which there may be.. uhm... 10 over the past 20+ years I've been gaming) that I've traded in. I may not regret it right away, but I always do eventually.

Not to mention that you get diddly squat for them, and the store turns around and sells it for about 10x what they gave you (screw you GameStop). So yeah, I keep my games, the stores keep their chump change, and I have my memories and the chance to replay whenever I want to.

Not to mention that looking at what I mostly play today (emulators or used games) tell me that I typically like older games over new ones, with a few exceptions from time to time. I just don't think the game industry is as good as it was in the 80's and 90's. It feels like it is running out of ideas.

I regret trading in my old PS2, since It would be nice to have it still.. Borrowed one from a friend to play Jak & Daxter which I had been searching for in a looong time.. Traded that game in several years ago, and the copy I found was just a platinum version, not the original :(

Btw.. if anyone still have it, I recommend getting it out and giving it a play-through.. It's really a good platformer, with an awesome universe and great humour!

I NEVER sell any of my games. Because i like them. I decide all of my purchases based on what i think, not on reviews, and i never regret them. I just refuse to risk not getting my hands on a copy of one of my old favorites just to get a few bucks

Except for COD3. I sold that one.

I regret trading in every game which I traded in because I end up losing money, plain and simple. Plus, I sold my memories for a potentially terrible video game.

I regret trading in older games when I was a kid.
I have a steady income coming in now so I dont see the point in selling anything.

I don't even know why I traded games in back when I did. It's not like I didn't have the money to buy the ones that I wanted.

I traded in, Zone of the Enders, Paper Mario-Thousand year door, Dark Cloud, DragonBall Z Budikai (Forget which one.), and Jak and Dexter II.

Only one I regret turning in was Paper Mario. I felt like playing it again for the longest of times.

I traded all these games in to get Devil May Cry 3.

I Love my DMC3.

FF7 for the PC. not sure if its rare, but the fact that a lot of people didnt know they made it for the PC makes me think it is. also i dont know why people trade in legit games (go to youtube and type in Zero Originality to see what i mean or if your a Gamestop employee and want a good laugh then go there as well), if your trading your games in for what little cash they offer you and you take it, then shouldnt you not by games anyways?

I usually trade in the ones that are outright bad or that I know I will never ever touch again. That still leaves me with a varied collect of games that range from the possibility I might play them again to games I play once every few years. Additionally, I keep all the ones that I'm really sappy about (like my Zelda games despite the fact that I will never play 4 swords again.)
