Me and a friend are looking for something fun to play, but I don't know any ''good'' co op games other than magicka, which doesn't work at all on her computer.

So I come to you and your infinite wisdom and experience, oh great escapist. Recommend us something we can play together. Preferably something with a pricetag smaller or equal to 20 euros/pounds.

Borderlands tends to be a great multiplayer experience.

Dont know how much you can get it for now, but a GotY edition comes with all the DLC.

Edit: On Steam, Borderlands costs £19.99 for the regular version and £29.99 for the GtoY edition.

Gears of War has always been very Co-op solid in my opinion, and because 3 is coming out very soon, they should be rather cheep.
Or are you only looking for Co-op computer games?

Sorry, forgot to say. We're only looking for computer games, since we only have computers.

Lord of the Rings: Third age has some pretty good co-op action in it. My Brother and I have sunk many many hours into that game, its ridiculously fun and ridiculously ridiculous

I don't think it would even be 20 pound but Diablo 2 is great for a LAN.
It's also a good way to get pumped up for D3 shortly.

Warcraft 3 has a billion great custom maps that you can play together, from zombie survival games to tower defence or DotA.

I would also suggest Borderlands. I dunno how much it would cost on steam (that'd probably be the cheapest way to buy it).

Most other Co-Op games that I know of are simply MMO's or are console based.

Left 4 Dead if you haven't already played it.
Seconded.

Also, this place is a great source of Co-op games. You can search by platform, the link is for co-op PC games.

Killing Floor is cool. Only started playing a few days ago and I'm having fun and it was on sale for half price on Steam.

want a co op game in the you must COOPERATE to survive or get a certain goal, or just multiplayer, um, co op, splitscreen, the L4D games. Portal 2 is completly worth it for both single and co op game play. Killing floor. Borderlands. Magicka. Yeah, those are good.

Portal 2, definitely.

Also: Borderlands perhaps.

The co-op game market is sadly small at the moment, I have a friend I often play co-op games with but it's hard finding any, or at least any that allow play of a proper campaign.

Borderlands is ridiculously fun, Portal 2 for sure, Left 4 Dead, and it's not out but definitely keep an eye on Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

It might look average but I'm convinced it's going to be an epic Co-Op experience.

Portal 2, Left 4 Dead, Borderlands, Alien Swarm (you may need more people).

PC specs might be helpful. Why can't her computer run Magicka?
