The only decent FPS I've played on the Wii, aside from Metroid Prime 3, is Red Steel 2, and that game requires that you don't use a Zapper.

Metroid Prime. Only tried the first, but it's nothing short of excellent.

Just... use a guide or prepare to get lost. A lot.

Edit: Hate to break the news to you, but please, spare yourself the pain of using a zapper. Stick with vanilla wiimote.

Metroid Prime 3. I played it soo much I saw everything as scannable in real life... but that doesn't use a zapper...

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles? I've played it a bit, not a big fan though... I prefer the first 3 Resident Evil's.

Links Crossbow Training. That was a nice zapper game, not alot of story but fun to have a laugh with friends as you show who's the best at it, usually by 3 points or something silly.

Uh, yeah. What they said.

But the zapper has nothing to do with any of them, and would be more of a hindrance than a help.

Metroid Prime 3/Metroid Prime Trilogy are great FPS games.
The Conduit has better controls (the best controls of any Wii FPS), but isn't as good of a game overall.
007 Goldeneye is coming out soon for the Wii and looks like it could be good.

The problem is i don't think you want to use the Wii Zapper for any of these. Come to think of it, other than Link's Crossbow Training, what games would you want to use the Zapper for? It seems like a rather useless peripheral.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
dead space and the house of the dead games would probably work pretty well with the zapper and they are fun

The Wii is HORRIBLE for shooters, aside from the Resident Evil rail shooters and the House of the Dead series.

Ahem. Seriously though, alot of the good FPS's on wii have already been mentioned. Except Medal of honour heroes 2. Hey, I liked it. That's also the only one I know of which can be played with a zapper.

If you're looking to make use of your zapper, you're best off looking to the on rails shooter genre. Suggestions: Resident evil umbrella and darkside chronicles, House of the dead 2&3 returns, house of the dead overkill, links crossbow training (comes with the zapper, but seriously, don't overlook it) and, probabally saving the best till last, Ghost squad.

House of the Dead Overkill...I assume...I haven't played with the Wii in ages and what I have played was not an FPS of any kind. I just think House of the Dead would be your best bet. Or Umbrella Chronicles. I am also aware of the existence of The Conduit but I have no experience with that one other than the ZP review of it.

If you're looking for a good FPS then either invest in PC gaming or a 360. I have nothing against the PS3 other than the controller which really isn't as FPS friendly as the triggered 360 controller or the mouse/keyboard combo...which I admittedly haven't used in years upon years.

Medal of Honour: Heroes 2 and the upcoming Goldeneye are two great FPS games that allow for zapper use.

If you're okay with rail shooters, Dead Space: Extraction is the best one. Also check out the House of the Dead and Umbrella Chronicles.

There's a great add-on peripheral to the Wii that has loads of great fps's. The strange thing is that it requires it's own power source and is actually large than the Wii itself. it's called the Xbox 360. If you can find one of the original releases of the Xbox 360 it should only be about £80 on eBay.
