(I almost typed in mango...)

Welp, tiem to explain.

I have usually been one of those escapist members who tries to be nutural in the japanese/western society battle(In all causes, minus RPGs, WRPGs FTW.)

And you see, their is this girl I like, who really likes anime and manga and stuff like that, so I thought to sometimes know what she is talking about, I would try to read a couple Mangas, So I need Ideas on what to read.

Just give me some form of Idea!
I have no idea where to look, seeing as I can't configure them by titles!

I like things with action, and story. So can anyone go off of that? I'm willing to try new things, so Just give me your favorite. (No PORN. I hear their is manga and anime porn, And I don't want to experance it...)

SO PLEASE JUST HALP.

You make a lot of threads about girls you like. Just wondering, how many different girls have you made threads about on here?

OT:
Rurouni Kenshin is truly the greatest manga I've ever read. It has a great action, and a great message to go along with it.

Parasyte. Good stuff.

(Giggles becuase of your title, and March Madness score...

Seems sort of... creepy...
It's about aliens (Or perhaps organisms that live in the upper most atmosphere... thankfully, they don't dick around with that) who burrow into people, eat their heads, and replace it it with morphing muscle mass. One teenager manages to trap the thing in his arm though, so it replaces his arm instead.

The whole point of the series was to see what would happen if human weren't on top of the food chain. It has frequent forays into environmentalism (Though it comes up with a surprising conclusion), has plenty of action, and manages to avoid the worst qualities of Japanese comics (For the most part).

And it's only 7 books long, so its cheap compared to some of the more popular stuff.

My library has GAME TOURNEMENTS every semester! IT IS AWESOME! Even though I didn't like the fact the last one was Super smash bros...

Uzumaki by Junji Ito.
Not too much "action", but it's the only genuinely creepy horror manga I've ever read.[footnote]Well, that and Fuan no Tane, but Fuan no Tane is very hit-or-miss.[/footnote] Clearly inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft [small](esp. The Color out of Space and The Shadow over Innsmouth)[/small], and very well-drawn. It's closer to a photorealistic style than most manga. This makes it even more disturbing when things get grotesque. I'd summarize the plot, but I can't really do it justice without giving anything away.

Basically, a small town becomes obsessed with spirals, and disturbing stuff starts happening.

I would recommend his other series too, but Uzumaki is easily his best. Still, Tomie and Gyo are pretty interesting, if you should want more.

I also quite like Princess Resurrection, which is maybe a little silly, but still good fun.

A simple premise: The main character is killed and brought back to life to serve as a blood knight for an aristocratic girl. What this really means is that they team up and fight what appears to be old movie monsters. The plot is paper-thin, but the individual stories (especially the one about "That") make up for it.

You could also try Blame!

It's a fairly dark cyberpunk action manga. Worth a look if any of those words or the phrases "huge mechanical city" and "incredibly powerful gun" interest you.

Ga-Rei Zero

Also, Berserk tends to have some really creepy scenes in it (Rape, Incest etc ... but overall, the story is of epic proportion).

I recommend Mobile Armored Riot Police [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_in_the_Shell_(manga)].

Also known as Ghost in the Shell.

Interesting because it doesn't feature a male protagonist; more interesting because it's set in the future, is humorous, has multimedia to go with it and romance doesn't go beyond professional flirtation.

'95 movie was awesome.

Edit: Oh wait, it's somewhat explicit.

Get it anyway.

Claymore? :D

In a world where humans coexist with sentient monsters called Yoma that feed on human innards, an organization has created an order of half-human, half-yoma warriors to protect humans from the yoma, for a large fee. The people of this world have dubbed these warriors "Claymores" based on their swords. They are also referred to as "Silver Eyed Witches", based on their appearance and seemingly cold nature toward others. Each Claymore has a rank number which is based on their strength and ability. There are 47 ranks corresponding to the number of regions of the land/world.

Well... There is always this one:

But that seems to obvious, considering my avatar.

There is also this one:

and this one:

and this one:

All three are great and have loads of action to keep you interested.

If you want just pure action with only a bare minimum of story, DBZ is great as well.

I hear Berserk is pretty good.

It's been running for over two decades and it's nowhere near reaching it's conclusion. Has it's ups and downs but it's generally pretty good.

My personal favourite is this [http://www.mangafox.com/manga/yokohama_kaidashi_kikou/]. It's very slow. Very slow but beautifully illustrated and wonderfully written.

Good call on YKK. There's also Aria, if you want something similarly relaxing but less apocalyptic.
