So recently I've had an urge to play a bunch of RPGS, and for the most part I think I've played the major ones. Yet none of them have really scratched that itch. So I turn to you forums to share a game that has a place in your heart and all that.
Preferably 2004+ and on PC but older games can be just as good.

List of RPGS I've played PC and Console, with an arbitrary smiley system!

Dragon age :)
Dragon Age 2 :|
Mass Effect 2 :\
Tales of Symphonia :)
Final Fantasy 12 :)
Fallout 3 and New Vegas >.>
Oblivion :|
Lost Odyssey :]
Baldurs Gate 2 =/
Planescape Torment :|
The Last Remnant :\

Edit: A few games I forgot to list

KOTOR 1 and 2 :) :\ (Was lukewarm to them)
Mount and blade :|
Diablo and its clonees :) (But they arent RPGS. Fun, but not what Im looking for)
Deus Ex :)

So what secret gems does the forum know?

Torchlight is mad fun and cheap as hell. Give it a shot.
Torchlight is fun, but not really an RPG in the same sense as those that he has listed. Hack&Slash RPGs are completely different beasts to regular RPGs.

OT: I have to direct you to the Geneforge series, and all the other RPGs made by Spiderweb software. They're the best traditional style CRPGs (think Baldur's Gate) that I've played since... Baldur's Gate. Actually thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I prefer them to that too.

*ahem* Sorry...

Anyways, I'd recommend Deus Ex, Alpha Protocol, Mount & Blade, or Arcanum.

*Edit*: Dangit, ninja'd by bussinrounds!

Thanks for reminding of a few more games.
The Witcher series, I'm sure is great but I can't play it. Simply cause of Geralt, I loathe his voice completely D:

@Krantos Torchlight is really more of a dungeon crawler then an RPG. Its solid fun, but not much of an RPG imo (Damn, ninja'd XD)

Try Drakensang: The River of Time perhaps.
It looks..fairly generic to me actually. Pretty though

If your computer can run Witcher 2, play it. Otherwise, can't go wrong with Spirit Engine 2 - it's an awesome RPG with stellar music and combat and above-average visuals and writing. It's here [http://thespiritengine.com/tse2-download.php], it's free, and it takes like 5 minutes to download.

Neverwinter night 2 wasn't listed, also if you try it then give it 2-3 hours(depending on how fast you are) before you throw it away, it was in my opinion better than DA1.

Also:
Alpha Protocol.
Jade Empire.

I second the recommendation for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.

It's one of my favourite games of all time, I've played it through at least 5 times. The cool thing is it allows for lots of different playstyles and character builds, and depending on what vampire clan you choose at character creation, it can be a very different experience. Good story, multiple endings, tons of sidequests, memorable NPCs. It's a few years old so the graphics are starting to show their age but the graphic design is great, the soundtrack's good and it's really atmospheric.

Edit: You'll want to patch it, it's buggy as hell unpatched, but that's a given for PC games as far as I'm concerned.

Well I guess this beats the thread I was gonna make about RPG's I should try. Even more so because of the awesome rating system :D

OT: I would recommend Neverwinter Nights 2 and it's expansions (SoZ especially if you like making your own companions instead of using the ones given)
The Witcher 1 & 2, I find them to be pretty good games
I'm hesitant about saying The Last Remnant, since I seem to be the only one amongst my friends that likes it at all
Fallout 1 & 2 are fantastic games (hell I don't even mind tactics: brotherhood of steel)

Also I have heard good things about the Gothic series, as well as Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines

And on another note a lot of these games can be enhanced due to the copious amount of mods/player generated content available.

If you liked Tales of Symphonia you might like Tales of Vesperia. I know it's on both xbox and PS3 so it should be on PC if you can find it.

The Witcher 2? I've heard very good things about it. Plus the 'Let's Players' I've seen playing it seemed to enjoy themselves very much.

Or maybe FFX, based on the fact you enjoyed FFXII, I very much enjoyed both.

Where's Morrowind on that list?

I call blasphemy.
Well then I guess I'm going to hell because I found that game tedious and boring.
