I have close to 50 games in my Steam library but none of them fight the bill for my recent cravings: RTS-Adventure games. Basically, I am talking about games like Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, Commandos 2: Men of Courage, and Myth II: Soulblighter. If I distill out the stuff that I liked from these games, we get:
Fluid game-play, animations, and controls
Interesting stories (Myth II had an exceptional one)
A well-balance difficulty curve and non-linear solutions to problems. You can brute force through the problems them but it is a lot easier to experiment with different strategies to solve them
Basically I want a game that has a healthy mix of the 3 ingredients mentioned above and conforms to the following rules:
The core of the game (like Myth) must be single player
The game must be available on PC and without requiringspyware Origin. Steam is, obviously, accepted
Graphical fidelity is not a strict requirement, but please no 8-bit or pixel art. Robin Hood is pretty much the lower bound of what I reasonably expect
I know that I am being quite specific, but I hope it can help you guys come up with recommendations. Thanks, in advance!
