I'm getting my wisdom teeth out next week and I'm going to the video store to rent some entertainment for when I'm rolling around in pain/doped out on pain meds. However, my list of movies I want to watch is pretty short, and reads thusly: Kill Bill, American Psycho. So I'd love some recommendations. Whatever genre, so long as it's good; I'm pretty open. Thanks!

Edit: Thanks for all of the recommendations! This should be plenty to keep me busy for a few days. ^_^

Action:
Kick-Ass
Hot Fuzz
Hellboy 1-2 (second one is infinitely better, but the first is good for background)
Watchmen

Thriller:
The Machinist
Seven
Butterfly Effect
Donnie Darko
The Prestige

Comedy:
Superbad
Pineapple Express
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
50/50

Horror:
Dead Silence
Midnight Meat Train
Fright Night
Jacobs Ladder (harder to find, but extremely good film if you can)

So there, that's a list of some excellent films from a few genres that you could probably find at a video-store. Enjoy!

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...I don't know what genre to put it in but it's one everyone should see if you haven't.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut even if you have seen it it's great to watch when you're in pain.

Thank You for Smoking is another good comedy/drama

The Maiden Heist is a good comedy

Tremors 1-3, 1 and 2 are the best, but 3 is alright

The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie

The Producers, I prefer the 2005 edition myself, but the older version is good as well

Any of the Futurama movies

Raising Arizona

Clerks

Rango

Them Idiots Whirled Tour, it's a comedy show with Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy, and Larry the Cable Guy

Those are pretty much all comedies because...that's what I like so...yeah.

Also some advice from someone who got their wisdom teeth out not too long ago, for a few days afterward, try and keep lying down as much as possible. Sitting up/standing will have gravity pulling on your gums and it will hurt like a *****.

I also had a hard time the first time I changed the gauze against my gums, the lack of pressure made it hurt a lot for some reason. I don't know if it's the same for everyone but it's a warning just in case.

I hope your surgery goes well and you're not in too much pain.

Primer on pain meds, that should be interesting.
Evil Dead 1/2 and Army of Darkness should be good doped up or you could go with something like Four Rooms or Clue.

The Princess Bride. Nothing holds back the pain like The Princess Bride. Also sine you have time to kill you could try all 3 Lord of The Rings films, it will certainly eat up your time.
