Well I've finally bought Oblivion on the PC and would love to know about some must have mods from my fellow Escapists.

Links would also be very much appreciated.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.list Here's a list for your browsing pleasure. I haven't played the game in a long time, so I don't remember exactly what mods I had. But back when I was playing, I always found the Dragon Mount mod to be pretty cool. Midas Spells adds a plethora of new magic spells for your monkeying about (reference) pleasure. There was one that added a castle and several unique quests that eventually enables you to become the lord of that castle, which was awesome. And of course there's always weapon set mods, reskins of the models in game, stuff like that. Pretty much if you want it, someone's done it (to varying degrees of quality, anyway).

But I guess my official recommendation would be Midas Spells and some of the terrain mods (Like any of the Unique Landscapes mods...they make an already pretty game look even prettier. Just make sure your processor is grunty).

Have fun!

I heard about this one that allowed decapitations and severed body parts when you killed an enemy with a blade.

For the life of me I can't remember it's name.
Deadly reflexes?

OT: Just go on Tesnexus and search around.

Get a hold of the FCOM kit - a Ton of mods/patches that combine into a brilliantly massive gameplay/graphics update. It is abit confusing to install the first time so I recommend keeping a clean non-modded backup of the installdir in case you need to redo some steps.

All links you need should be at http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/convergence.html

Well worth the pita it was to get it right :)

There is. Go to TESNexus, go to top 100 and search for adult only. You'll get more than hot coffee.

I'm sure the nice people here will be able to help you out. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Oblivion-Fanbase

I play Oblivion on the 360 myself mostly, and I don't have any mods for the PC version.

I've got a few that I recommend.
1. Nehrim [http://www.nehrim.de/indexEV.html]: The English version isn't out yet. However it seems to be a very ambitious overhaul.
2. Adash - City of Magic [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31692]: A massive mod that adds a large amount of new content.
3. Lynges Dark Brotherhood Assassins [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8654]: A fun addition if you aren't associated with the Dark Brotherhood.
4. Daedric Lord Armor [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16442]: One of the best looking suits of armor available on the Elder Scrolls Nexus.
5. Mystery of Mausoleum [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31610]: Another large mod that reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy.
6. Underdark [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23153]: A big mod that adds a dark underground world to explore.
7. The Lost Spires [http://www.lostspires.com/]: An extremely large quest mod complete with unique enemies, great music, and epic boss battles.
8. Elsweyr the Deserts of Anequina [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25023]: Allows you to explore Elsweyr without the addition of another game.
9. 28 Days and a Bit 2 [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19086]: If you like zombie games you'll like this.
10. Oblivion Mod Manager [http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097]: This last one isn't really a mod. But you'll probably need it if you're getting into mods.
