I really like watching LPs while playing games--especially if I happen to be grinding.
I'm now starting to run out, however, and could use some more. I prefer to watch the more comedic commentary kind. I don't need someone showing me how to get through the game, because I'll either have already played it or don't care waht happens.

The LPs I already watch are...
Two Best Friends
The Spoiler Warning Show
LRR (Graham and Paul) LP
and Yahtzee's LPs.

I know about Gaming Grumps. I'm kind of skeptical of them, and I'm not sure if I want to try watching them or not. So if you're familiar with that show, I'd like to hear about it.
Thanks.

Try the Achievement Hunter lets plays.

This is their new channel specifically for lets plays where they post 1 video every weekday: http://www.youtube.com/user/LetsPlay

This is the old channel where they used to post lets plays along with other general stuff from Rooster Teeth (their parent company): http://www.youtube.com/user/RoosterTeeth?feature=

Robbaz and Dopefish are great for a laugh:

Yeah I know its part 5 of a series but this part was especially hilarious.

Also if you jump on dopelives.com at any time they will generally have someone streaming games from a pool of great streamers, including Dopefish.

While the SomethingAwful forums are known for some pretty bad elitism they make some damn good LPs.
Chip and Ironicus [http://www.youtube.com/user/ChipCheezumLPs]
Slowbeef [http://www.youtube.com/user/slowbeef] and Diabetus [http://www.youtube.com/user/DiabetusRP] and their alternate channel where they play adventure games and make fun of bad LPs [http://www.youtube.com/user/retsupurae]

Oh, and I know you're talking about watching stuff, but this text LP of Princess Maker 2 [http://lparchive.org/Princess-Maker-2/] is seriously one of the best ones out there.

[sub][sub][sub][sub]there's also me if you want it but I'm not that great [http://www.youtube.com/user/MrHaza2][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]

There's always The Jesse Cox [http://www.youtube.com/user/OMFGcata] if you want to laugh at ineptitude and bad jokes/puns. :D
Seriously though, he's a nice guy, he knows the stuff he says/does is 'bad', i.e. not based on skill but on having fun and he releases content regularly.

Game Grumps is pretty good though I don't really know if they could be considered LP'ers or not as they rarely take things seriously and only occasionally complete the games they play. Highlights from them would be their ongoing Sonic 06 playthrough, Pokemon Emerald, Zombies Ate My Neighbours and just a lot of their older stuff. Their newer stuff can vary in quality and Egoraptor and Jontron contradict themselves a fair bit, espescially Ego, but if you don't take things too seriously like the majority of the YouTube commenters do you'll probably get to really like the channel.

Captcha: Good Morning. Morning to you too Captcha.

As far as people who could be considered actual LP'ers, there is ProtonJon. He's been in the business for a long time now and is mainly famous for doing Super Mario World rom hacks, his ridiculous upload schedule, (His Superman 64 LP is still ongoing years later) and being a member of The Runaway Guys, a collab LP channel with him, NintendoCapriSun, Chuggaconroy, JoshJepson and Lucahjin. He stopped playing the first thing some time ago. Currently he's doing a co-op LP of Resident Evil 5 with another LP'er by the name of SuperJeenius.

JoshJepson as I mentioned earlier is another LP'er I'm fond of. While he isn't really known for funny, like Jon, he does have his moments and his vids are still enjoyable regardless. He's currently doing a Falloutt 3 LP on PC. He's part of a competitive LP channel too called Versus with AttackingTucans. While Tucans can be a little grating at times he makes great commentary with Josh. The channel is going through a first to all stars runthrough of Super Mario 64 as well as a competitive dungeon runthrough of Ocarina of Time.

My favourite let's play of all time is the hellfire comm's playthrough of Abe's oddysee:

These 2 just provide the perfect straight man-funny man combination, that makes me laugh until I cry whenever I watch it.

If you don't mind things getting loud occasionally, TheRunawayGuys could be worth a watch. They explain a little about the games they play, but its mostly just them having fun... or getting mad at each other :p

Otherwise, I'd recommend the Achievement Hunter Let's Plays, like the first reply said- they also get kinda loud at times, but they're often laugh out loud funny; especially the Minecraft LP's

Yeah, TRG are pretty good, considering the loudness which you get used to after a while. Remember that one vid on their LBP LP where everybody talked politely in posh upper class accents for the entire video? Jon's remark at the end made that vid for me.

I'd recommend The Freelance Astronauts. They don't seem to be particularly active at the moment but they have put up a load of their old stuff onto YouTube and some of it is just comedy gold!

Most of my favs have already been listed, but aside from them I'm a big fan of Criken [http://www.youtube.com/user/Criken2] and Djy1991 [http://www.youtube.com/user/Djy1991]. The Yogscast [http://www.youtube.com/user/BlueXephos] also have their moments but they seem to have gone for quantity over quality as this point.

There's also my channel [http://www.youtube.com/user/xXSnowyXx]. I mean, I like me, someone else might. Don't judge.

Slowbeef's LP of Metroid Prime is still one of the funniest things I've seen,he's done the sequels but they do dip in quality. Seeing is how most of Prime 2 LP is I hate this game in decidedly un funny ways,It does tend to sour things. Also because it is a live stream and Slowbeef is directionally challenged he gets lost quite a bit.Funny in Prime 1,not so funny in Prime 3.

Zomadok's suffering at the hands of Parallel Worlds(a LTTP rom hack)is enjoyable just for the reactions and all of his guests ripping on him for sucking at it.Sadly the last few videos are unavailable on the LP archives.

Also while not always funny Dazzling Adder's DK64 LP is pretty decent along with anything her,Vicas and Brother Entropy team up for. Their best being the slowly updating Yoshi's Island LP and Star Wars Bounty Hunter.

The funniest one I've seen is Max and Matt's playthrew of double dragon neon . The first half of the playthrew is on miles 923 the seconed half is on his actual lets play channel titled yovideogames. The reason for this is durring their first attempt the game froze on them and when they went back they just put it on the new channel since max wanted miles 923 to just be devoted to fighting games. But it's worth checking out because it is literally a laugh a minute.

Hehehe, well the first response took my suggestion: Rooster Teeth. They've got some fantastic Let's Plays...a lot of them are Mineraft based and they're pretty silly.

If you really want to be brought to tears with laughter - at least I was - then watch the LP Worms episodes done by Rooster Teeth.

Gavin is fucking TERRIBLE at that game xD

Most good LP'ers have already been mentioned, but I also really like The Heartless (or Steve as he is also known). He mostly does series and ends up getting angry at bad mechanics or nonsense in games.

Oh I thought you were asking for LPs, as in the musical kind. If you mean Let's Play videos... I actually like Syndicate, he seems really nice. I'll also have to support Yogscast as they're from my home town, but only Sips and Sjin are interesting for me. Oh, and Criken.

Look no further than slowbeef and Diabetus's "retsupurae" channel [http://www.youtube.com/user/retsupurae/videos?flow=grid&view=1]. The "Wrongpuraes" playlist typically contains MTS-style commentary over games that are old (though there are exceptions, like Metroid: Other M), forgotten (again, Altered Beast provides an exception), and terrible (no exceptions, really), while the "Retsufrash" playlist riffs on Flash games (and videos), usually from Newgrounds. As for the LPs that have their own playlists, I'd suggest starting with King's Quest V, Trapped, Arrival in Hell, Arise, or Last Alert. Or, if you're looking for something a bit more current, outside of that channel there's their already-mentioned Metroid Prime LP [http://lparchive.org/Metroid-Prime/] (as far as the next two games go, though, you might just wanna stick with the Omega Ridley fight [http://blip.tv/slowbeef/corruption-ep-037-omega-ridley-4579197], which is gold), Metroid Fusion [http://lparchive.org/Metroid-Fusion/], Dead to Rights [http://lparchive.org/Dead-to-Rights/], and Dead to Rights: Retribution [http://lparchive.org/Dead-to-Rights-Retribution/].
