Recovering a Gamertag

Hello Escapist!

I'll cut to the chase:

I had an Xbox. I had a live account. I sold the Xbox. I forgot to delete the account from it.
Somebody else used the Xbox. I bought a new Xbox. I recovered my profile.

Will the person I sold my Xbox too still have access to my live profile?

TL;DR, does Recovering a Gamertag make TWO accounts, or does it just move the account to the new console?

No, they won't have it without knowing your email and password to recover it back. It can only ever be on one console at a time.

Haha, that's pretty awesome, they bought a load of stuff from the avatar marketplace. I feel kinda bad but oh well.

They'll be able to log in as you offline, but not online. If the tag is currently recovered on your Xbox then, without the password and email address, they won't be able to get it on theirs. The same thing happened when I bought my second hand Xbox - the old guy's username was still on there...but I just deleted it.
