Do you guys think that Red Dead Redemption is slowly, but gradually dying out? I mean yeah, the 3 DLC Packs were cool, but not anymore... Maybe Rockstar will create a few more DLC Packs, or they'll just make us wait it out until Spring 2011 for their next game, L.A. Noire.

That depends upon who you ask - if anything, I think the recent DLC's inclusion of zombies sprang quite a bit of life back into the game[footnote]well aware of the joke here[/footnote] for me, as well as quite a few others.

If they called the quits and stopped making DLC for it though, I wouldn't protest in the slightest. The content they've provided has proven to boast sheer quality, and I've more than gotten my fill. Good on ya, Rockstar. Good on ya indeed.

Yeah, I have to agree with you that they HAVE gone well out of their way to spring it back, but it just feels like there only so much you can do. Zombies was pushing the limit as well...

I'll wait another few months, then do the free roam achievements, without getting ganked by griefers every 2 paces.

I don't think it's dying out. I've been having a blast with the new dlcs, especially killing zombies. I'm just getting sick and tired of people spam rolling, it's really freaking annoying.

If it's dying out, it's because people generally move on from old games to new ones, rather than a lack of quality in Red Dead Redemption.

The game achieved a more than reasonable, compared to the average, lifespan, I would have thought.

i kinda hope they do a dlc similar to the ones they did for GTA4, like a new character plot who had a brief appearence in the main story, landon rickets for example.

Not like its gonna happen though >.>

Maybe a little bit, I mean the game certainly isn't full of people as it used to be, but for the most part it's still kicking.

I didn't like the game to begin with because its like the developers decided, "Hey, lets make a GTA but take out everything that makes it fun like cars, cool weapons, and car bombs."

OT: just like most games it will die out because people get bored and move on to the next best thing or just beat it completely so theres nothing left to do

Horses, throwing knives and dynaimte on the back of coaches aren't enough for you?? What about all the wildlife, bounty hunting, minigames etc??

OT: I still enjoy jumping online with friends and shooting the shit out of people from time to time. It's a very fun time-killer.
Personally, I thought the single player was incredible. Great story, great characters (despite not being around too long) and amazing atmosphere. The gameplay was brilliant and despite it's glitches kept me hooked for hours simply having shootouts with the law or hunting elusive creeatures....

I'll definitely go back and play it through again once i'm done with other games.

To be honest, RDR is such a good game without DLC or ay online features, I can't really complain if nothing more is added.

Yep, red dead redemption is slowly making it way to the "buy 1 get 1 free" shelf at EB games. It happens to all great games eventually.

I hope rockstar take the road in creating new games in the future like they did with red dead redemption rather than sticking to 1 thing (grand theft auto). Playing the same thing over again gets boring.
