There's a game I recently purchased called Red Ninja: End of Honor for the PS2. Oddly, I had never heard of it, but after giving it a test run to see if it worked correctly and such, I checked various websites and it seems to be unanimously disliked for camera control, "difficulty" and other basic critiques.

I found no issue for the limited time I played Red Ninja, but for anyone who has played this game, what's your opinion.

I mean, for a game that involves a hot, female protagonist, who is a ninja getting revenge, is it that bad, or is this just fluff on the Internet?

I really enjoyed Red Ninja. The controls are very slippery, especially when platforming but once you get a handle on them it does give the game a very fast and loose feeling. I love the main character design and also how the game mixed action and stealth before that was a common thing. I also think the weapon you use is just really cool and unique. Overall, I guess I would say it's a game that gets almost everything right but it just needed more polish.

I've always heard it wasn't very good, but having not played it myself, I can't honestly say if it's bad or not.

It's quite fun to begin with, and the wire mechanics are quite interesting, but the levels do get kinda BS towards the end.

It was barely tolerable until the final armor god fight. I quit there and haven't played it since. Aside from that, the gameplay wasn't great. I'd rather just play any Tenchu game, yes even the wii one.

I've never even heard of it. But if you're interested in a great ninja game I'll gladly recommend Shinobido: Way of the Ninja, for the PS2. It's amazing. Just make sure to select Japanese voices with English subs. English voice actors will put you out of the amazing ninja experience immediately.
