World in Conflict? I just played through it again, did anyone else find the story line fantastic? It was one of the few games I actually was immersed in the storyline + characters. Did anyone else feel the same way or play it?

Never heard of it before, but it looks interesting enough, if it is cliche but that's just from the cover.

Storyline? Well, the "obligatory war crime scene" was in fact shocking. Especially because it was Bannon's fault... AGAIN. But the rest wasn't all that immersive for me.

I really should reinstall it and try multiplayer again - never really got the hang of it.

I've heard of it, and the Spoony One has a copy of it lying around, so I don't have a problem with it. I remmeber it got really overshadowed by Endwar, however, which was a shame, as it looked pretty cool. Anyone know if there's a demo of it on Steam?

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I loved that game, the arty was so damn cool, the story was good but implausible, the idea of russia invading us without nukes flying is pretty fantasy but the game is damn fun

Russia invades America, so original!

I heard the name a few times, saw it when it turned up on the steam store listings, but I didn't look too much into it.

I think that cover has new meaning, what with the recent discovery of Soviet Spies on American soil that I guess jumped out of the Cold War's grave.

I miss World in Conflict. I felt REALLY bad for Bannon...

I also with the MP scene was more alive. That was hands down the BEST multiplayer experience I have ever had with an RTS. Teamwork actually matters!

I may just reinstall it this weekend!

EDIT:

Most epic RTS cutscene EVAR!

I really loved this game back when it came out. Its single was one of the most well told stories I've seen in a long time in an RTS. Not to mention how much fun the entire game was, man this game kicks ass

Aren't civilian casualities really common in war?

Maybe, but that particular case was underscored by Bannon's idiocy. Okay, maybe he could not have seen the white flags amidst all the snow, but he is still a bloody cowboy. I guess that shows the reasons why cowboys don't have a place in a real military (or police, for that matter).
