Replacement for Plays.tv?

I was hoping to find another video editing and capture tool similar to plays.tv that I don't have to manually record my games or highlights, because I always forget. Something simple to use would be ideal.

I think both Nivida and AMD cards have that built-in functionality. OBS is also a good option, but not for highlights.

VideoPad is a really light and easy to use video editor if you need something for editing after the capture.
