Resident Evil 4 - Good? Bad? and why?

Im not sure if this has been done already, but i did a search and couldnt find it anywhere...

Well anyway, i personally think its a good game because it never gets old, you can get new weapons and outfits...

so what do you all think???

The real question is why some people think RE5 is bad when plays exactly the same as RE4, except that it features new areas monsters and weapons. To me it was a welcome extension to a game I already love

It's a good game.

It's a bad Resident Evil game, based on the first few games in the series.

I enjoy playing it but for vastly different reasons then why I like playing Resident Evil 1 and 2

It had some sort of charm to it. I haven't played any other Resi Evil game, but this one did feel different to the other ones because of its action sequences. (most notably, the opening village scene)

Despite all the whining about the inventory system, the AI, and the overall lame story, the ONLY reason I think RE4 is a million times better than RE5 is because it's actually scary.

RE4 may not be Silent Hill 2, but at least it wasn't a generic action movie like RE5.

I think that RE 4 was a pretty good game. Some might even say great, for the console generation. I would still like to say that, on the basis of gameplay, RE 5 was better. What do you expect? It's a sequel.

Yes i agree there,

the style is the exact same just in a different country to all the other games. i also think that resident evil 4 did the right thing by breaking away from its previous games and leading the way for the future games

Its a good game, but not a good resident evil imo. It didn't make me feel real fear. Plus it got really easy after I bought the Chicago Typewriter. But that is to be expected. Anyway it is a goo, fun game. Its just not what I look for in an RE game.

I think its because, RE4 was such a huge upgrade from where the series had been, that they were let down by so little changes. How do you top a game that has so few flaws. Some people think RE5 didnt change enough, and some people think it changed too much

One word: Sheva.

Resident Evil 4 is just... a good game. The graphics were good, we got some new environments, and it was just all around fun.

I loved the new game play changes and jump to then current-gen needs. It still had great atmosphere, a load of unlockables and different gameplay modes that kept it fresh. I just wish they could have stuck with the Virus created zombie instead of parasitic las plagas granados.

I say it's a good but overhyped game. It's like Halo, I know it's a good game, but I could never really get into it.
