Right, so i need a bit of help regarding Music.

I don't necessarily THINK this is advertising but mods are free to take it down if they think it is.

Anyway, it's getting toward the end of the year, and my Broadcasting class' final project is to create a music video. Now as soon as I heard this i instantly knew what song i wanted to do, and already have it mostly figured out as to how i want it to be acted out, who should play what parts, ETC.

However, the song i want to use, "Back Stabbing Betty" by Cage the Elephant, has a bit of profanity in it, and my Teacher has said that unless i find a censored version of it, i will not be allowed to use it. However, Censored versions of CtE songs are HARD TO FUCKING FIND.

So, i'm calling out to my fellow Escapists in a plea for help, either scour the internet for a censored version of this song, or suggest a (preferably free?) music editing program that i may use to censor it myself. I already have so much planned for the video and i feel i could execute it so well were i to be allowed to use it, i REALLY don't want to have to find another song to use.

Cant you just edit the song yourself? at my highschool we had Mac's in the broadcasting room, I hated the class myself and only took it once but it was simple enough to edit out sound you dont want. Or are you supposed to make the video without editing?

The video is such that they are supposed to play on the TV's each morning before the announcements, and i was told if i just remove the offensive words there would be to much of a gap and people would complain. I have to distort the audio enough so that it is still THERE but what is being said is unidentifyable.
