Typo in OP, I'm guessing.

OT: People love dogs, and Vick was actually convicted. Roethlisberger had the charges dropped, didn't he? Therefore, it isn't as big of a deal.

So how come everybody hates Vick for fighting dogs and nobody seems to hate on Vick for rape charges?
First off, where does Roethlisberger come into this?

Second off, when did Vick rape someone?

Third off, Ben was never charged/convicted for that rape, that underaged skanky **** should have never been in that bar or drinking.

EDIT: I dont know if you've watched the news, but EVERYONE loves to bring up what Ben supposedly did and talk about what an awful person he is, when really he does a ton of great stuff around the local area and is one of hte nicest guy you could ever meet. BUt I would say besides that, its that the Charges/Convictions were followed through and proven, and there's no gray area like there is in the Ben case (case in point she's nineteen, in a bar, drinking. where's that *****'s punishments?).

A better question is, how come Brett Favre can get away with the stunt he pulled with that woman from the Jets, and he gets the pass, when there's so much evidence against him you'd have to have the OJ jury to get away with it (not saying that OJ did it or that he didnt).

Oh... Wait:

A big factor is probably that Ben was never convicted of actual rape, when there was proof of Vick's dog fighting. Plus, Ben has won a lot, so it is more accepted.
A great example of how a conviction and winning means a ton is Kobe Bryant.
When you say Kobe Bryant, do you think of the settlement he took with the girl who dropped the rape charges? No, you think of his 5 rings.

Because there is a big difference between "charged" and "convicted"
Although there is a smaller difference between "repeatedly charged" and "convicted". I'm not saying Roethlisberger did it in any of the cases, just that if something keeps happening you have to look at the common factors.

I might be biased for Vick as I'm no great fan of dogs (former sufferer of Cynophobia) but I think he's done his time with 18 months in prison, and besides poor judgement that led to a situation at his birthday party (which he had no part in) he's done nothing wrong since, so I consider him square with the house.

Ben Roethlisberger seems to be the same guy now that he was when he came into the league 6/7 years ago.

Bret Favre should be punished more than he is, but honestly I think most people are happy to see the back of him and all his drama, so they're willing to let his nonsense go so long as he fucks off.
