It's been a long day, so let?s talk romance.
Tell us about your most romantic experience to date. I'm talking the good stuff, the heartwarming stuff, the stuff that makes you look back and sigh or get butterflies. I'm not looking for sordid details or dirty laundry. I'm looking for that one moment that made you think that it was all worth it.
I'll start:
I'm going to tell you about my first kiss. I'm talking the real first kiss, not little schoolyard kiss you share in the back field with your childhood crush. I'm talking about a toe-curling, heart melting, biblical kind off kiss.
I had been set up on a group date with this girl a friend of mine lived with. Let's call her W. W was a pretty alright person. We hit it off and I was invited to join Her and Her friend's at an indoor trampoline dodgeball place. Good times. Here's where it gets good:
I had just come out of the washroom and was looking for W and the rest of the group. W must have seen me looking around a little lost because she walked up to me. She pointed out which court was ours and passed me my rented shoes.
This is the part that will always be burned into my mind. I step back from her a bit; I had to bend over to put on the shoes. W steps into the gap, following me with this determined look on her face, like she was concentrating on my eyes really hard. I probably had this stupid look plastered over my face but suddenly she's there right in front of me closer than anyone who isn't family has ever been. W was still staring at me as she reached around me and hugged me. She had one hand around the small of my back and another cupping the back of my head, buried in my hair tugging my lips over to hers'.
Afterwards W kind of let go and went back to the dodgeball court. She dint say anything about it, just left me standing there in the lobby with tender lips and stolen breath. We never talked about it and I don't know how she felt about it, but to this day the memory still makes me feel warm inside. It?s like I can always point to it and say "See? Someone does like me. Someone does think I?m beautiful."
What about you? What was your most romantic moment?
