According to The National Enquirer, Apple CEO is suffering from pancreatic cancer and has but six weeks to live. To back their claim they ran pictures showing Jobs leaving the Stanford Cancer Center, which is the same place Patrick Swayze went for treatment.

As a tabloid the National Enquirer is not exactly the most reliable source and the pictures leave doubt as to whether it is actually him. But if it is true, Jobs chances of survival are slim. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal forms, with a meager 5% of patients living for more than 5 years after diagnosis.

My gut tells me the story is bullshit. Any thoughts?

National Enquirer is a shitrag but other news sources are saying it too, so who knows. Pancreatic cancer sure is a ************, my mother had that recently and she only lasted six weeks from diagnosis. I hate Apple as much as the next gamer, but still... nobody deserves to go out like that, no matter how bad their computer platform is.

Looks real. Damn, poor guy.

You had me worried, until I read the first sentence. The only news source I would consider less trustworthy than The National Enquirer is World Weekly News, and if you've ever seen an issue of World Weekly News, you'll realize that's saying something. I'm not saying he definitely doesn't have cancer, but I am saying that, given your source, it'll be a coincidence if he does.

Well, he does have cancer. He's been known to had cancer since 2004.

If he has six weeks to live however, I'm not sure.

My sympathies if the story is in fact true. I would ask the obvious questions of "Who will run the company now?" and others related to it but I am not sure what Jobs does anymore. He was very successful in his golden days and made one of the greatest investments in history (Pixar), but now, I don't exactly understand what role he plays currently in the companies actions.

He has been granted a medical leave of absence.

This took me ten seconds to find.

I should go to every single persons computer screen in the world and just circle the google searchbar with permanent marker for them.

"True" and "The National Enquirer" should never be seen in the same thought. While he has been ill for some time now (see above posts), The National Enquirer is just hilarious trash writing.

Wait, you mean the same National Enquirer that's a watchword for entirely made up bullshit about UFO abductions and celebrities secretly being lizards and all that? Were you thinking before you posted the new thread, or just trolling?
