Hi all,

I'm hoping someone with a bit more tech savy than me (i.e. none at all) could help me. I'm trying to play a game in windowed mode, as I had a sudden urge to play Homeworld again since I never completed it. However, I'm also trying to make arrangements for a trip at the same time via MSN, so I tried to play it in windowed mode, but I can't get it to work. My laptop has Vista on it, but other than that I don't really know much about what is inside it.

Hope someone can help, and many thanks in advance!

Hi There 'enigmaticchaos'

Excuse me if this is a daft question (it been a long time since I played Homeworld.

Are you starting the game with the /windowed switch?

I've got the urge to play the game now myself, I loved it.

What do you mean when you say "I can't get it to work"?

One thing that's good to try with Windows Vista/7 is to make it compatible with older OSes.

Right click on the game icon, go to Properties, select Compatibility, then choose "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 2000" (then try 98 if that doesn't work).

After that, just try making it windowed like usual.
