OK, I'm considering getting a new laptop, because, quite frankly, mine is horrific for gaming and while I know laptops aren't amazing for gaming, I'm not looking to run really high-end games, just things like League of Legends and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The problem is, as you probably know, as Amnesia is made by a small company, it's not optimised for some integrated graphics chips, especially the Intel ones. Is there any specific chip I could try and get to run Amnesia on a laptop or do I need to get a proper graphics card?

Thanks

Intel GPUs have appalling quality anyway, putting aside the lack of optimisation that most companies will do with them. Their most powerful GPU is approximately equivalent to a six-year-old mid-range graphics card. Some of the integrated Nvidia or ATI GPUs might have sufficient performance, although I'm not sure if the games you want to play will properly support them.
That's what I wanted to know, it's not the performance issue, it's whether the game supports said integrated GPU and wondered if anyone had any experience with an ATI or Nvidia integrated chip that did work with Amnesia.
