So basically, points in gaming where you just HAD to say "shit just got real".

before this, it has been pretty much standard RPG, with stuff happening to various people and places, but it has until now mostly had an undertone of unrealness to it. I mean, of course the protagonist and the party members will make it trough.

But then this quest happens. Just check the video. The entire video, please.


But mostly it is the final lines between Ammon and Mephasm:

AJ: "You have weakened me and in so doing, you have earned death" *Spellfire*

SJ: "I know grandfather. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." *Dies from the spells Ammon Jerro cast against her.

AJ "'Grandfather!?' What is this?"

Mephasm: "It is the truth, Ammon, and by such truths is one damned. "

Mephasm: "There are laws, Jerro. And when one carries such laws too far, they will take you where I go now" *leaves to the nine hells of Baator.*

In MW2, when Shepherd shot both Roach and Ghost in the same cutscene, poured gas over them and lit them up with his cigar. I got a tear in the corner of my eye, and it was a real "Shit just got real" moment.

This may not count, but when playing a custom map on WC3, I had just made 4 nukes. Right at that time a scout found some planes that were coming to bomb me, so I launch all my four nukes at this one guy.

Everyone else went "NO WAI" and began unallying me. (Insert "S**t just got real" here.)

It was the only time I said GTAIV is better because at least you could save the dude who helped you out in the first place. (Roman, the dude who bought you to Liberty City - At the end of the game choose revenge over money and you save him).

It really did. I actually went on a rampage against the Brotherhood after that scene. Used up all my ammo and only died when I tried to rip apart a brotherhood truck with a machete, while it was barreling towards me. That didn't end well.

OT: in KH2 when I had to fight the 1000 Heartless, but only for a few seconds 'til I figured out that I could mow them down at 10 a strike, where then it became a "shit has just gotten fun" moment.

When in one of the last Dark Brotherhood missions you find out that you've killed the entire black hand, which leads to your "boss" being killed, skinned, and hung up as an example...I went oh shit...

In Mass Effect 2, my favorite boss-like moment has to be in a conversation between Shepard an the Illusive Man. Right at the end.

"This is my mission now. You can fall in line, or you can step aside. But DON'T get in my way."

Whenever I say the Renegade option it's always so awesome.

Around the time Illidan was 'killed'. Kinda late but it still upset me. One of the few games that I've played where the villian won(the other was Starcraft).
