Once again I'll acknowledge that this has prolly been done many a times here but for my own curiosity I'm asking now because ppls opinions can change. I was watching the School Days and the last few episodes become all kinds of f*** up. With the climax of the whole story at the end I couldnt help but be overcome with sadness. So, what was the saddest ending u have seen.
What is really sad is that this guy played with their hearts and just prolly wanted tail.

The ending to Ergo Proxy was possibly sad to some people.

Same as Starcraft II...Well, in a good sad kinda way.

Arrested Development.

And I quote:

"Why, oh why would they cancel such a brilliant show?! Why must it end?!"

Just finished Red Dead Redemption not 30 minutes ago. Dude... it was spoiled for me, but still...

Edit: I know it's not sad compared to others, but I tend to think of things as less sad over time. Things are only sad the first time for me, so the most recent sad thing I've seen is the saddest thing I've seen.

Samurai 7 had a really sad ending.
And Tekkaman Blade's ending was just heartbreaking.

And as for School days OP, i didn't really think it was sad.....i thought the ending was the greatest thing in the world.
The little prick and that lying psycho both got what they deserved.

im looking at this from a different point of view, its quite sad for bowser to die a firey death and who knows, maybe his mom is sick and only peach can cure her? huh? or, more recently, in spider-man shattered dimenisons, i mean mysterio got shoryukened! by spider-man!
just think "how is this from the other perspective?"

Yeah, Red Dead had a surprisingly sad ending. I wasn't left in tears, but all I thought was "...Fuck. D:"

I dunno if the movie click had the saddest ending, they just buzzkill you steadily and then try and patch it up at the last second and it doesn't even matter.

or Pokemon snap, I paid my own money as a child for this game. full price brand new, got it home and beat it in like 1-2 hours. I cried about it.

Oh i wasn't criticizing you man.
I was just saying i didn't think it was that sad.
Really, i just love Gore and Revenge in general, but seeing as how one girl wouldn't take being played that badly laying down made me laugh the entire time.
Though it was kinda sad to see how much Disregard the MC had for the girls feelings, and how it drove her to that decision.

the amber spyglass book
it made me sick to my stomach with them condemning two major characters to an eternal imprisonment in an abyss where they will fall down for the rest of eternity, splitting up the romance sub plot two chapters after it has commenced

and this was just dissapointing, i REALLY wanted to here more about the huge war and all i got for a climax was the aformentioned two characters tackling the bad guy down the aformentioned Abyss very anticlimactic and left me saddened and dissapointed

Big Fish ALWAYS makes me cry. I've seen it well over 10 times as well. I bet if I watched it now I'd be in tears; just like the first time I saw it.

Million Dollar Baby. Holy hell, that got really bad really quick. I was in womanly tears.
Manly tears were certainly shed at the end of that

How bout the end of Red Dead Redemption? That got me pretty emotional.

But I'm going to totally buck the trend and say that listening through American Idiot gets me pretty sad at the end, with Wake Me Up when September Ends, bits of Homecoming, and Whatsername all bundled together. God I love music

Had no idea they made a movie in 2003 about it. Caught about half of it today but, when I saw Little Ann dead on Old Dan's grave...man, couldn't help it, the waterworks just started outta nowhere lol.
There is also an older move about it.
It doesn't cut out as much from the book as the newer one does and i think the acting is better.

But that part also makes me tear up....it just sucks, especially after all the junk he went through to get them.
Gahh, its such a sad story.
