Your loyal and most humble servent was quite frankly shocked at the discovery that this RP forum lacks a great number of silly, highly cliched "High School/Boarding School games". They seem to be so awefully common everywhere else. You practically can't turn your head around, say, the Israeli online RP communities without banging into a dozen instances of the pattern. There are schools for superheroes, schools for wizards, heck, there are quite a few schools for ninjas, of all things.
While the School Game genre has gained as of late(rightfully so, mostly)the reputation of a horribly childish, dry, and "ground up"(which is a hebrew expression for "Something that has been done many, many, many MANY times until it turned absolutly empty") style of forum gaming, one cannot deny the charm that it possesses(for some unspeakble reason) for children, teenagers and even adults all over the world. The kids like to fantasize about the wondrous and mysterious high school years, the adults feel an odd sense of nostalgia, and the teens pretty much like to dream about being in a place less crappy and boring then the one they are in now.
Of all the various subgenres involved, one of the most common is the "monster school", to which apperantly all sorts of supernatural creatures go when they come of the appropriate age before being returned into the monster community as productive adults. In fact, it is so common a subgenre that in some places "monster school" is pretty much synonimous with "school game".Such games are often at least somewhat comical in nature(thaugh not alwayes)and focus on the day to day lives of the students, their relationships(some would argue that these are the point of the whole game) and sometimes special and dramatic situations that arise into them, whether mundane or supernatural. The whole supernatural theme helps to add some unique flavor to the atmosphere to make even those regular things more facinating. If you have ever played a Persona game(especially the fourth) you will probably feel right at home.
Thus, and because I am bored and desperate for some good old fashioned RP, and somewhat because I have been brainwashed into the conclusion that every good RP forum needs to have something of this sort at least somewhere, allow me to present to you:

Saint Poemandres Boarding School for the Metphysically Needy
A role-playing game of supernatural romance & high school hijinx
It might not come to you as a surprise right now that on this planet, two worlds exist: there is the mundane world of man, the one you and I sit in now, the world of normality and banality. And then there is the Invisible World, the unseen world, the hidden one. The world of magic and monsters, of gods and demons that exists above and below that which we know of. The two often interact in mysterious ways, usually without us, normal human beings, understanding, thaugh those interactions often become the basis of myths, urban legends and conspiracies.
Vampires walk the streets at night. A wrong turn in the woods outside of town may lead you to the kingdoms of the Fair Folk. Cabals of magi use political and economical manipulation as well as vast cosmic powers to influence and control all the governments of the world.
You know the deal, don't you?

Now, many types of supernatural beings look human enaugh, and often come to live within or on the fringes of human society. Many are capble of breeding, either among themselves or with humans. Those kids grow up as others do(thaugh not alwayes at the same rate...). While many of them are aware of their supernatural heritage and powers from since they were born(thaugh they were again and again warned by their parants to never do anything that might accidentaly reveal the existance of the Invisible world to humans- that would be disastrous, won't it?), a significant minority were, for whatever reason, completely blind to the truth of their own natures until they were mature enaugh to deal with it. The mental/physical(the distinction must be made since some particulary strange creatures age differently from humans. Some not at all...) age of sixteen is often such a point. Sometimes thirteen.
One way or another, once they reach relative maturity, the children to supernatural or partly supernatural families(or kids who are forcibly introduced at any age to the Invisible, such as those bitten by werewolves) become a realistic danger to humans around them, as well as to the secrecy of the hidden world. For this reason they are often sent into their own special, secret schools, to learn not only maths and philosophy but also important lessons of control over their supernatural condition.
One such school is the prestigious Saint Poemandres Boarding School for the Metphysically Needy, located somewhere in the eastren US but recieving students from all over the world("Somewhere", by the way, would be a good description of it's location. Powerful magic bends space and time to make the grounds actually only "exist" for a person if he is invited. For others, including just about all of humanity, the earth is just a few square kilometers smaller). The school recives about thirty to fifty students every year, from the ages of thirteen to eighteen and from all kinds of supernatural families. There are education programs for vampires, werewolves, wizards, fairies, ghosts, and just about every other major
group of human looking monsters. Members of less well known species are also wellcome, of course.
The students live within the school during the whole year(excluding some holidays), and learn valueable lessons of the supernatural in addition to the normal ones essential for them to become members of modern society.
While the main reason students come to the school is so that they won't be anywhere else during the time, they are all obviously encouraged to study hard, get good grades, form social connections, enjoy life, and not do anything that might get a regular human in prison because the Invisible world generally lacks one: it's either death or exile to some alien realm beyond, which is usually far worse. Interaction with normal humans is strictly forbidden.
All of the students' needs are cared to by the school(including the more... unusual ones), the food is good, the grounds are large and nice(with a lake!), there are plenty of clubs and extracalicular activities, and in imitation of human schools, they even have studebt concils(aslo in imitation of human schools, said concils are often all but meaningless). Students tend to form cliques along lines of common hobbies, languege(thaugh all are required to know at least some english) or race.
The headmaster is the famous and honorable Mr Oneirius(that's me), divine lord of dreams and nightmares second only to the Platonic Dream, and the rest of the staff is also, as you might have guessed, composed entierly of supernatural creatures.

What are you waiting for? the school year starts in but a few days.
Have fun.

THE RULES(dun dun dun!)
1. You may think that hardcore sex and violence and swearing may be very helpful to the whole high school experience here, what with today's high schools being what they are, but remember that this is the forum and stuff like this is generally forbidden here. I suggest doing old grandma test on every suspicious post: if your eighty years old catholic grandmother were to accidentaly peek behind your shoulder and see what you are writing, would she grab her chest and die? If the answear is yes, you might want to consider rephrasing that lovely description of a BDSM orgy with dead babies.
If you really, really feel like writing stuff like this, use the PM system.

2. You don't have to post a million times a day, but at least one would be nice. Try not to disappear for too long without warning.

3. This one is writing to you from sunny, dusty Israel, which means he may be sleeping or at school(how ironic) while you are awake. Yes, this is inconvenient. Life is like this. Patience is, as alwayes, a virtue here.
Also note that this one's english is really bad. It's native tongue, hebrew, is very different, you see. Please forgive this one for grammer and spelling errors. Or at least don't be too mean about them.

4. Your character sheets don't have to be a mile long, but try to write more then a few short sentences there, okay? I want to know your character.

5. This game will be primarly driven by the players. That means I will try to post as little as possible(except when narrating special dramatic events). The truly interesting part of this all is the interactions between the characters, is it not?

6. There is currently no limit to the number of players that may be accepted. Around five to eight characters from both genders and at least three species' would be ideal, but I won't hold my breath about the chance of that happening. For now I will just accept whoever looks nice enaugh.

7. It's a game of telling a fun story. Try to keep it fun and interesting and dramatic and funny and whatever you like. The first and final peurpose of this game is for you to enjoy yourselves!

8. Got any questions? I am here or a PM away.

Character Sheet
Character name: You know the drill, don't you?
Character age: How old is your character? Try to stay between 13 and 18 human years, if you mind.
Character gender:(If not specified, assumed to be the player's gender as it is shown in your profile page) Some players like the challange of playing as someone from the opposite gender. I respect and admire them very much. Yet others think all such attempts are futile: a man will never be able to truly think as a woman, and vice versa. What is the character's sex, then?
Character race: The reason you have to go to this school is that you are, putting it plainly, simply not human. What are you, then? Some very "basic" creatures are very well known and won't really require an explanation(I will assume that, say, vampires and werewolves are as they are most commonly depicted by the modern movie industry), but others will require some detailes about their uniqe traits, powers and weaknesses. Their are so many monsters from mythology out there. Try if at all means possible to NOT invent a creature by yourself. It's more fun this way, I think.
Character personality: How do you act? How does your psychology work? A general description of your personality for me and the other players to know you better.
Character background: Don't write a biography here, but write enaugh for me to understand your character's past at least a little better.
Character appearance: Be as detailed as you want. Give us a picture, if you must.
Character trivia:: What is your characters astrological sign? Favourite food? What are it's hobbies or taste in music? Do you have some great talent? Do you wear glasses? Write as many details as you like. The more the merrier.
Character relationships: If you think the idea is cool, you may want to contact another player OOC to create related characters. They may be friend, family members, whatever. Big drama value. You may also advertise stuff like "I want my character to have a nemesis!" or "I want my character to have a romantic partner". Another player may then contact you so that you will be able to combine the stories of both your characters for maximum fun value.
Notes: Got anything to say to me or to other players? Suggestions, questions, whatever? Write them all here.

Good day to you all! Have a fun time playing!

Players (Part 1)
DuplicateValue
Name: Dillon Feidhelm

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Race: Gancanagh

(quoted from Wikipedia link provided)
A Gancanagh is a male faerie in Irish mythology that is known for seducing human women.
The Gancanagh are thought to have an addictive toxin in their skin that make the humans they seduce literally addicted to them. The women seduced by this type of faerie typically die from the withdrawal, pining away for the Ganacanagh's love or fighting to the death for his love.

Personality: Even from a very young age, Dillon was always a very quiet, shy boy. Whenever he got the chance, he could be found wandering around nearby forests or sitting alone by the riverside. Awkward in social situations, Dillon was never comfortable with the interest his racial gifts attracted from girls, so he often went out of his way to avoid confrontations. He always tried to push the notion of love from his mind, living in fear of the danger that could befall any who got too close to him.

Personality: Due to his nature, Dillon's childhood had been mostly a lonely one - ostracising himself from the other children in an attempt to keep them safe. He was not always successful, however, so his past had been riddled with tragic incidents, including the death of two girls who had drowned while trying to cross a river to see him again. Deciding that he couldn't take it any more, Dillon accepted the invitation to Saint Poemandres Boarding School, where he hoped the other boarders would be more resistant to his gifts.

Appearance: Dillon is of average height and weight for his age, with snow white skin and shoulder-length black hair, which covers one of his vibrantly green eyes. Being a form of faerie, Dillon's body is flawless all over, wounds healing quickly and without leaving scars. He would look just like an abnormally attractive human boy, if it weren't for the pointed ears that betray the fact that he is not like everybody else. His voice is calm and soothing to any who hear it.

Trivia: Dillon's favourite hobbies are reading and listening to music, his favourite genres being Indie-Rock or Alternative. He usually wears just jeans and a t-shirt, sometimes with an open shirt on over it. He has a small appetite so doesn't eat much, but he likes most food and has no favourites. He has a talent for drawing, and can often be found sketching quietly in a corner or while sitting under a shady tree.

Relationships: None as of yet.

ThreeWords
Character name: Jon Shannow
Character age: 15
Character gender: Male

Character race: Faerie (3W flavour)

Character personality: As above, faeries have an odd social and moral system, and from this basis comes Jon's approach to life, which can be summed up as 'do as you dare , and seize the day!'.He is also optimistic and upbeat, with more than a touch of mischief. He has very little respect for authority until they have proven themselves, but is generally friendly to everyone he meets. However, due to the cultural differences inherent in his upbringing, he can take offence at seemingly minor things.

Character background: Brought up in the the communes of the Fair Folk, Jon was raised in a society that was in many ways incomprehensible to outsiders; with it's double standard of possessive communism and revenge/lenience. At 10 he began to learn how to deal with those outside his own race, and by 13 was sent off to St Poemandres, to learn what his faerie tutors could not teach

Character appearance: Jon is a typical example of a faerie, standing at about average height of 6'4", his body unnaturally thin while still having lean muscle. His hair is shoulder length, always in perfect condition, and has a habit of casually defying gravity. Like all faerie hair, it is pure white, though he has braided in strands of colour that give it a rainbow shimmer. His face is rather handsome, with high cheekbones, an angular nose that gives him an intelligent air, and a wide, always smiling mouth. His eyes are inquisitive, friendly, and flicker different colours constantly, often according to his mood, though he has partial control. Of course, with his glamour on, he looks absolutely stunning
Clothes wise, he varies between faerie fashion (loose, concealing robes in natural colours), and modern clothes to which he has taken a fancy, namely jeans and t-shirts and hoodies. With whatever else, he always wears fingerless gloves, claiming that he has a bad circulation

Character trivia: Jon is a Leo, he eats anything and everything with the total focus typical of faeries, he enjoys sports, and loves to listen to music, though has no skill in any tuned instrument. He can drum, but has not played for many years. He has a few interesting scars around his body, form the surprisingly violent play of faerie children

Character relationships: I'm looking for a romantic partner, or potential at the least. I'll be friends with anyone, and don't mind being someone's nemesis.
In short, I'm open for basically anything

Notes: Can this become the standard faerie design for this RP? I don't really want to have to argue over what a faerie is...
EDIT: seeing Dupe's sheet, I guess I'll just make this a breed of faerie instead...

Gorrister
Character name: Maximillian Borogoff

Character age: 18

Character gender:Male

Character race: Centaur

Character personality: Unlike the majority of his species, Max is a relaxed, controlled individual. He is more often than not making a joke about the situation at hand and near constantly has a smile on his face. He is a little bit of a pain in the ass when you first meet him, but his cheeky nature more often than not becomes endearing. He is nearly constantly smoking Shrewgrass (kinda like their version of pot) and thus he was sent to the boarding school for obvious reasons.

Character background: Centaurs are well known for being respectable, noble creatures. So when Max was caught one day with a bucket lodged over his head, face down in the rose garden of the tribe leader with a passed out female Elf in his arms, suffice it to say, his parents were not impressed. Facing no other option, he was sent to the boarding school to learn the ways of the real Centaur.

Character appearance: He is quite a haggard looking specimen, more often than not his fur being knotted and tangled with twigs and leaves. He has a hazy look on his face almost all the time, only brightening hen he tells a joke. He has long brown curly hair that cuts off just before his body, which is a mixutre of black and brown fur. He stands at around 6"1, rather stout for a Centaur, but this is probably due to the amount of Shrewgrass he smokes.

Character trivia: Max loves hot food. He puts wild chilis on just about everything he eats. He will more often than not have a pipe in his mouth, puffing away at his delicious Shrewgrass and has a tendancy to get philisophical and bad times. He plays the lute formidably, but he has yet to show anyone his skill. And, being a Centaur, he can handle his ale quite well.

Character relationships: Kinda easy going, gets on with everyone really.Guess a romantic relationship wouldn't be tood bad, but I'm not expectingmuch. He's not much of a looker atthe end of the day :)

Notes: Is the Shrewgrass thing alright? I just feel that every boarding school needs at least one stoner :')

Themax
Name: Sven Torgerson

Age: 15

Gender: M

Race: Werewolf (changes between man and man-wolf form usually at will, "Mode Locked" to wolfman form at night or when enraged)

Personality: Even before the incident, Sven was very introverted and had few if any good friends. However, Sven is very protective of the few people he does feel a connection with. His mind also tends to wander very rapidly during conversation he views as idle.

Biography: Sven was born to a relatively wealthy banker from Minnesota. Throughout his childhood, the only person he really considered a friend was his neighbor, Rachel. Sven was invited to Saint Poemandres after an incident between him and Rachel's abusive older brother, Joshua, at school lead to his first transformation and several other students getting injured. He jumped at the opportunity in part to better learn how to control his powers.

Appearance: Sven stands at approximately 5'6", but has about as much muscle as can be packed onto his stocky frame. Besides the increase in body hair and more lupine facial feature (a la Wolf O'Donnell) there is no appreciable difference between his human and wolfman forms. In either form, Sven has skin that's pale-but-not-ghostly, dark grey hair and blue eyes.

Trivia: Sven aspires to be a professional wrestler, but doesn't see that happening until he can learn to become human at night. He also has a very large collection of Power Rangers action figures. Sven tends to do consistently better in math than any other subject, but tends to flounder in anything related to social studies.

Relationships: None to speak of.

CounterAttack
Name: Rochelle Novassa
Age: 17 human years
Gender: Female

Race: Angel (basically a humanoid with wings; however, they are not as strong or tough as other supernaturals)
Appearance: Rochelle has extremely pale white skin, golden eyes and silver waist-length hair. She also has a set of white wings, and is capable of flight. She is fairly attractive.
Rochelle wears a black jacket unzipped over a red shirt, long black pants and white running shoes. If she wants to look good for a night out she wears a black dress to contrast with her super-pale skin.
As an angel, all her clothes have been altered to accommodate her wings.
Personality: Rochelle is kind to her friends, and trusts them immensely; she will confide in her friends if she is keeping a secret. She is distrustful of strangers, but will open up to someone she befriends.

Background: Rochelle was invited to Saint Poemandres for her safety, after she was attacked by a vampire from a den near her town. She has a bite mark on her neck as a result, but it did not kill her or turn her into a vampire; the attacker was captured before he could begin the vampirism process.
Trivia: Rochelle excels in athletics, and is a good runner and sprinter. She can run over ten kilometres without a break, but can fly the same distance in half the time. She also has a good singing voice, and would like to be the lead singer for a band some day. She can speak fluent Elven in addition to her normal English.

Relationships: Rochelle is looking for a romantic interest; however, she has an aversion to werewolves; she finds their shape-changing ways unnatural. She is good friends with a faerie, Jon Shannow, but is not interested in him romantically.

James_Sunderland
Name: Rhoda Vikure.

Age: 16.

Gender: Female.

Race: Half-forest nymph.

Personality: Friendly, laid-back, artistic, geeky.
She's the kind of person who you can go to when you've got a problem, though she keeps herself to herself.
She hangs out with lots of different people, but she doesn't really commit herself to anyone in particular. She likes them, but she likes things done the way she wants and on her terms. This goes for her social life too.
Put simply: she's a great friend, but you don't fuck with her.

Background: Rhoda has always preferred the back seat, letting her brother take care of things as she hung back and relaxed. Not to say that she is lazy, she just likes to take it slow. If someone needs her help however, she will go through hell and high water to do it. She feels that if everybody just helps each other when they need it and let them be for the rest of the time, the world would be a much cooler place. She's a long-time player of the guitar, and although she doesn't paint, she loves to sketch. She loves her brother dearly, but she does think he is a bit of a dork. She spends most of her time kicking back, working on little projects she invents for herself, as she gets bored fairly easily. And despite her friendly attitude, she loves messing with people and playing pranks.

Appearance: Tall, with elbow-length straight copper-red hair, and emerald eyes. Not exactly skinny though far from fat, she has long, skillfull fingers and a smile that could melt ice. Wears a vanilla tube-top underneath a red, zipped-up hoodie, a pair of extremely baggy and oversized, half-cut trousers held up by a thick, deep purple belt and, as much for comedic effect as anything else, a huge pair of sunglasses that are somewhat ridiculous. Walks bare-foot pretty much 24/7 and wears a number of steel bracelets.

Trivia: She prefers melodic guitar playing to fast strumming, and uses charcoal for sketching rather than a pencil. She's quite smart but hates busy-work. Her favorite color is purple and she HATES peanut-butter. She is also at the age where she's starting to notice men, though she has yet to find the right guy.

Relationships: Older brother Marcus, played by lycanthrope321.

Quad08

He made a deal with something in death and came back more powerful than before, hunted down the killers and punished them. Only one problem remained...he continued to be alive. With nothing left to believe in or use his abilities for, he stumbled upon Saint Poemandres and was happily accepted into the school.

Character appearance: Physical Appearance Pure white skeleton, no flesh remains.

Clothing Usually a black hoodie, dark grey/white camouflage pants, black army boots

Alotak
Character name: Sam Bartinet

Character age: 17

Character gender: Male

Character race: Demon, (Humanoid with Batish wings, sharper teeth, tail, eyes( Fallen Angel)

Character personality: Playfull, and generaly human sense of humour but in a darker way than most. Quite cynical he tends to look on the bad side of things. His emotionaly depths are very deep but dont take alot to reach.

Character background: Was summoned to earth then corrupted by an evil wizard, his body changed and his mind was twisted, he tore the man to pieces in anger from the pain he had caused him. Following his escape he lived on the frindges of society before he saw his future in a dream, an escape where he could get and education. Mr Oneirius had saved him.

Character appearance: 7ft tall. Humanoid, similar to an Angel dashing good looks but with Pointy ears, fangs, a forked tongue, skin is a crimson colour but fades to black on his back with then there are membranous wings, and a tail (no silly arrow head though). His hair is blonde un-changed and is cut short. His Eyes are black , totaly. He has two Horns about two inches long curveing upwards from his forhead, set a little wider that his eyes.
Quite muscley he does have a six pack, which is why he rarely wears a t-shirt.
Wears loose leather jackets crudely cut for his wings and jeans most of the time. He does own a suit but rarely wears it. (like Hellboy but without the whole beard and hand thing.) He has long claws (extended and pointy nails) on his hands and feet meaning he rarely wears shoes.

Notes: Those relationships ok? Also are we going to go with the race of angels and demons as non religious?

Players (Part 2)
DownpourLiar
Character name: Carolina Luiken
Character age: 15
Character gender: Female
Character race: Doppelganger (American version The version I'm basing it off of is not the original German one most are common with.) A doppelganger is a duplicate of another, mostly humans since their souls are the easiest to overpower. A doppelganger without a body looks like a wispy white spirit that floats above the ground. To posses a body they have to enter it at the back of the neck and tear the existing soul away from the spine and then take it's place. One can stay in the body for a couple of years before the body completely breaks down from wear from an unfamiliar soul but it becomes uncomfortable for the doppelganger to stay in a body for more then a year or so. The only way a doppelganger is killed is by being out of a body for more then 29 days.
Character personality: Carolina has many trust issues but she comes across as a very caring person. She is very self-sufficient and hates relying on others to get things done. She'll put other's health before her own but if she dislikes someone, it is near impossible to change her mind. If her hate for someone goes too far she can get out of hand trying to ruin their lives. She has a insatiable craving for education and loves libraries and books. She is indifferent about taking over and killing souls when she needs a new body but most of the time she keeps in one until it breaks down because she does have some sympathy for them. She enjoys others company but tends to stay away from other doppelgangers. She can get a little spacey sometimes and oblivious to other people.
Character background: Carolina was born to a notorious pair of doppelgangers, well known in the community as ruthless, blood-thirst leaders. She grew up in a very aristocratic environment but never thought anything of it. Wanting the best for her, her parents sent her to St. Mary's All Girl Boarding School when she was younger but after another student crossed her, (she was 13 at the time) she sought revenge, setting a pair of newly-turned werewolves in the girl's room. Needless to say she was expelled and sent to Saint Poemandres Boarding School where she will be starting her first semester there this year.
Character appearance: Her newest body, picked out right before coming to her new school stands at a fairly short 5'7 with natural shoulder length strawberry-blonde hair. Once Carolina got a hold of her new body she personally died bright strands of various colors and coon-tails and cut it so that it laid cut and sharp edged with side-swept bangs. She has a sprinkle of freckles running over a small pixie-shaped nose. She picked her out for her pale fair skin and giant sapphire-blue, almond shaped eyes. Her normal attire consists of a pair of dark washed or grey ripped skinny jeans under a band t-shirt or plain colored v-neck, although she does have a variety of sweaters. She wears a silver band on her left wrist given to her by her grandfather before he passed hidden under a selection of brightly colored bangles each representing a body she has been in. She is never seen without a pair of red converses on and a black bow holding her hair back from her face.
Character trivia: Carolina loves fun and bubbly things but only if they're genuine. She collects vintage records for a gramophone. Photography is her passion and if she is not in the library reading she's in a dark room developing pictures. Her favorite things to shoot include bridges, stained glass windows, and fire. She loves to smile and laugh. Corny jokes are her absolute favorite.
Character relationships: I'm up for anything, if you're interested for a roommate or friend or whatever just pm me.

Pararaptor
Character name: Helen Bakarthy

Character age: Seventeen.

Character gender: Female.

Character race: Harpy. Humanoid, with wings instead of arms & scaly, bird-like legs. The wings are built off human arms, & thus possess dextrous hands. They are of a violent nature.

Character personality: Short-tempered, impatient & with a prejudice against figures of authority, Helen doesn't much enjoy being told what to do. That is not to say, however, that she is any way anti-social.

Character background: Unable to mimic humans as other monsters were able to do, Helen was enlisted to Saint Poemandres from birth, though she of course did not attend until the age of thirteen. She lived & grew up in mountain ranges, avoiding contact with humans but venting her aggression on the resident wildlife.
When she first arrived at Saint Poemandres Helen had difficulty fitting in with the other students, what with no friends during her childhood. Since her enrolement she has learned to tone down her violence & gets along much better with most of the student body.

Character Appearance: Short, thin & lithe, yet powerful. Raised heels much like a dog's hind leg, her legs are like a human's legs up until the foot where they become scaly. Her toes share the shape with a human's, but end in longer slightly curled & wicked sharp talons. An longer opposable claw juts down from her heel allowing her to grasp with her feet & perch, & she stands on her toes, keeping her elongated feet in the air.
Although her arms are proportionate with the rest of her body her wings splay out & seem very large, though are ultimately suited to manoueverability instead of speed & long-distance flying. Her plumage is a deep brown that matches her curly chin-length hair.

Character trivia: The human 'men are stronger than women' convention is one Helen was born to disprove. Her strength is that to match anyone's, & she loves nothing more than a friendly wrestle with anyone who will take her, even more so if it's airborne.
Her marks are not the greatest, but she does well in the school's athletics classes.

Rainboq
Character name: Catalina Sahari , she lets her friends call her Cat or Spots (due to her fur pattern)

Character age: 17

Character gender: female

Character race: Catalina has no actual race, she was the result of human experimentation on animals with magic. Her parents were the ones who created her, but their reputations were destroyed by her.

Character personality: Catalina's personality depends on the the day she's had, but she is generally loud, outgoing and bashful to her friends but she tends to be really shy and anxious around people she doesn't know. She is generally an extremely rational being and she is very understanding of most people. Oh, and Thor help you if you piss her off.

Character background: Catalina was a potent magic user from an early age, unfortunately, her parents found it incredibly hard to find work so her talents were wasted for most of her life. Eventually, her parents found Saint Poemandres and they tried to get her excepted, unfortunately, they applied late in the semester and she only got accepted once her parents threatened legal action.

Character appearance: 5'7"

Character trivia: Favorite food is waffles, she listens to Easy listening (mainly The Inkspots) and orchestral as well as baroque , she is a Possibilain, she doesn't believe in Karma, she loves the water, she can't stand jeans, she loves animals, particularly cats and she can communicate with them. She also loves to read fiction and listens to the radio, she was born in Canada, the only country within reach that would recognize the union between her parents (a male homosexual couple) when she was born

Zannah
haracter name:Uchiha Kohana (made up japaneese word, roughly translating to "child of flowers", and they write their names backwards in japan)

Character age: 13

Character gender: Female

Character race: If that counts as a concept, I'd like to be born with a sharingan, meaning a completely human physical experience, except for the eyes, which are capable of altering the reality around me - if someone looks into my eyes, or if I gaze and concentrate on someone, bad or at least weird things happen. Now having at this age developed these eyes to an extend, but having little to now control about them (I made a dice chart to roll for reactions, should the situation occur ;) ), I basically have to run around, blindfolded - the eyes still allow a minimum of sight, but only shapes and stuff - in terms of reading etc, I do it the same way, a blind person does.

Character personality: Quite a bit spoiled (used to having servants and such), quite shy (I'm not exactly used to authority besides the clan patriarch and not at all to people talking back at me) and "unaware of social ettiquette" - I know what I've learned while living among my clanmembers, but social rules in ancient ninja clans tend to be a little "archaic", and what I know about america (and other superhuman creatures for that matter) I know from TV or manga, so behavior, while not on evil purpose, might be inadequate at times. Since I only see raw shapes, when in public I'll probably be rather clumsy.
Character background: Given that dojos in the mountains are so 16th century, I'd say I've been raised in the relative Isolation of my clan, which lives in the like top five floors of some really high building in tokyo, from where the various shady ninja-style business' are organized (meaning that most adult clan members will be away most of the time, while I spent my time in my room, looking out of the window, reading or watching tv, trying to not light it on (black)fire - The whole go to america to this new school will probably be some kind of "learn to control yourself and act like a civilzed being"-thing.

Character appearance: Asian, unhealthily pale and skinny; 4,8 foot tall, with about two foot of black hair, tied back in a loose ponytail. Generally dark, comfortable, if a little old fashieoned cloth, with little to no sense of fashion (lacking sight and all), Dark Red blindfold with japaneese signs on, covering the eye-portion completely, which I wear at all times I am near other people.

Character trivia: Astrological sign: Tatsu (Dragon, I wouldn't know my western astrological sign, would I?) Favourite food: Probably Rice noodles, something quick and easy to prepare. Given that most activities that require eyes, I have a great interest in certain kinds of music (electronic dark wave stuff), and play the flute myself (not that interest is not the same as taste, the quality of the music might be "offending" to some). I'd take the blindfold off and draw, when in private, but try to hide both the drawings and of course my eyes from anyone I don't know really well.

Character relationships: Depends, probably if I can convince my boyfriend to join;

Ah well, so much for the quick-shot of a character concept :p

SexRex
Character name: Chaz "Chuck" Albert
Character age: 17
Character gender: Bisexual Male (usually)
Character race: Cubi (includes Succubi - Female, and Incubi - Male)

Cubi are relatively powerful, long living creatures. The minimal lifespan for one is 3,000 years, as well as they have powerful shapeshifting and summoning magics. Cubi have large wings on their back capable of flight, and another very small pair on their head. Somewhere on their body there is a symbol showing of what clan he has descended from. This symbol glows when using magic and is the only thing a Cubi can not change.

Cubi are around 80 percent female, and their culture is often mistaken. A cubi does not ever need to eat or sleep past just wanting to. They "eat" emotions and that is what they live off of. Harvesting a soul can work too and is also a faster way to gain power, thus most go this direction. Cubi have the natural ability tor read minds, but often just "search" for keywords due to the huge amount of thoughts that they are assaulted with.

Character personality: Generally shy around people, a Cubi's natural shapeshifting ability allowed Chaz to hide his wings and blend into Human society. He was always afraid of accidentally releasing his wings, though, and didn't talk to others or get distracted. Although without needing to hide anymore, Chaz will likely be more outgoing.
Character background: Chaz was born into a family of two Cubi parents, which often is an oddity for Cubi children (most Succubi kill the human once they get pregnant, and Incubi kill the mother and nurses after birth). He was sheltered until he learned to control his outbursts of magic and to hide his large wings, enrolling in second grade as soon as his parents found it was safe.
He was never distracted from his body, which often meant he was distracted from school and social life. Chaz often ignored anyone trying to converse with him, and was totally alone for his school life. After high school and when he was 17, his parents enrolled him into Saint Poemandres.
Character appearance: Chaz is a shapeshifter, so he can look like anything he wants with enough thought. His base form, though, has bright blond hair, a skinny, lanky build, medium height, and his clan symbol on his inner-left bicep. His wings are white, and he's not against changing his looks (and gender) to sleep with someone.
Character relationships: Chaz doesn't often get into committed relationships, and his family has broken up now that he is out of the house.

TerribleYetFun
Character name: Jeffery Filmore

Character age: 16

Character gender: male

Character race: ghost but due to a magic ritual was locked in the body of the humanoid he was possessing at the time after years of training has regained the ability to become transparent but can`t pass through walls or float, the body itself only has some scales which act as a thin layer of armor.

Character personality: never likes to engage in conversation with others but loves to eavesdrop, is a joker most of the time but when the times comes he can be serious, will never start a fight unless provoked and most people would consider him a slacker.

Character background: was alive a long time ago in a small village to two parents who cared for him but only made it to the age of 16 before he was murdered in the Forrest one day and became the ghost he now is, he loved to cause mayhem as part of his 'games' this was more than likely to stave off the insanity that would set in if he just floated around all those years, but he took it too far one day, killing a counts daughter, the count managed to gather a party of priests and warriors to find him and destroy him, they tracked him to a nearby barn and cornered him by placing charms around the outside they a small battle ensued and Jeffery managed to kill one of the new recruits, but in a foolish move he possessed the dead body and acting quickly the priests sealed him inside forever thus ending his games, he has now tried to move into saint promenades in order to find a magic to break his curse.

Character appearance:"6,2" long shoulder-length brown hair, blue eyes, skinny with a few muscles especially around his forearms, has hundreds of storm-cloud Grey colored scales all over his body which all seem to point downward making his entire skin look gray, also has a large dark black covered curse mark on his back in the shape of a ornate cross which stretches down to the bottom of his torso and is wide enough to cover all the way across his shoulders, wears a pair of

Character trivia: star sign: Pisces but he1s forgotten over the years , favorite food: a tie between grapes and chocolate, Has been around for hundreds of years so has witnessed some historical events and if asked will tell you how completely overrated they are, loves listening to metal and classic rock and pretending to be someone else when introducing himself

Character relationships: If anybody wants to they can PM me about this, but I`d prefer if I did`nt have any relationships.

Notes: ummm I got nothing to say here, just hope my character was original/good enough

Giving this a bump because it seriously deserves some time on the first page. I'd join in a second if I could, but I have too many RPs at the moment.

I didn't know if you wanted it via PM or not, so I'll just leave it here. =]

Name: Dillon Feidhelm

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Race: Gancanagh [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gancanagh]

Background: Due to his nature, Dillon?s childhood had been mostly a lonely one - ostracising himself from the other children in an attempt to keep them safe. He was not always successful, however, so his past had been riddled with tragic incidents, including the deaths of two girls who had drowned while trying to cross a river to see him again. Deciding that he couldn?t take it any more, Dillon accepted the invitation to Saint Poemandres Boarding School, where he hoped the other boarders would be more resistant to his gifts.

Appearance: Dillon is of average height and weight for his age, with snow white skin and shoulder-length black hair, which covers one of his vibrantly green eyes. Being a form of faerie, Dillon?s body is flawless all over, wounds healing quickly and without leaving scars. He would look just like an abnormally attractive human boy, if it weren?t for the pointed ears that betray the fact that he is not like everybody else. His voice is calm and soothing to any who hear it.

Trivia: Dillon?s favourite hobbies are reading and listening to music, his favourite genres being Indie-Rock or Alternative. He usually wears just jeans and a t-shirt, sometimes with an open shirt on over it. He has a small appetite so doesn?t eat much, but he likes most food and has no favourites. He has a talent for drawing, and can often be found sketching quietly in a corner or while sitting under a shady tree.

Relationships: None as of yet.

You put faeries in the OP? They're like my signature race (aside from bears and robots)

...I think I love you...

Character name: Jon Shannow
Character age: 16
Character gender: Male

Faeries have many names. They're known as the Fair Folk, the Dancers, the Dreamweavers. But never, never call them fairies, unless you want a divorce from your skin.
They are odd, are the faeries. From a distance, they seem human, but closer up one begins to notice the hair that seems ignorant of gravity, the multicolour eyes, the unnatural slimness and agility, and the sheer grace which manifests as the appearance that the subject is only touching the ground by coincidence.
That is of course, assuming you're in any state to notice. For that is the most notable thing about faeries; their aura. It bewitches and enchants, whisking you away on flights of fancy, or merely clouding your eyes, and giving you a picture of the world they way they want you to see. Used aggressively, the aura can confuse or even control, though a powerful mind can resist. As a rule, faeries work their glamour form a young age without knowing, and are usually kept out of inter-species contact until they can learn to turn it off. It is considered polite to leave ones glamour inactive.
Physically, faeries are, as a rule, taller and slimmer than humans, and are slightly stronger, though not much. They are famous, on the other hand, for their speed, agility and dexterity; they can outpace most other races easily, have reflexes like a blur, can walk on any two of their limbs and climb sheer walls. Their resilience, on the other hand, is pathetic; while an faerie can resist suffering and pain due to their powerful minds, they have little stamina and can take little punishment in a fight.
As a rule, faeries seem to operate on different moral and social systems; they are highly anarchic, and follow a seemingly paradoxical philosophy which sometimes urges 'an eye for an eye' style revenge, but other times encourages one to admit defeat and surrender to the clear victor. Their morality follows that if you dare to do something, it is acceptable, but if someone dares to punish you, that is how it should be. their appears to be no defined rule to this, and instead every faerie knows instinctively which approach is right (understandably, few non-faeries have any understanding of the races psyche). However, similar to their classes on their auras, they are taught to understand the conventions of society before being sent out.
Faeries can talk to animals, and if not talk, then 'empathise' with trees

Character relationships: Good freinds with the angel Rochelle Novassa

I'm looking for a romantic partner, or potential at the least. I'll be friends with anyone, and don't mind being someone's nemesis.
[sup]In short, I'm open for basically anything[/sup]

Notes: Can this become the standard faerie design for this RP? I don't really want to have to argue over what a faerie is...
EDIT: seeing Dupe's sheet, I guess I'll just make this a breed of faerie instead...

I'll reserve a spot. I'll have to find a race to use, but I'm interested nonetheless.

EDIT:
Character name: Sander Cromwall

Character age: 15.

Character gender: Male

Character race: A faun.

Character personality: Is mostly a sociable person. Has times when he wants to be alone, and times when he doesn't. He is not very patient, and bears through long periods of waiting for something, but likes to complain about it to everyone. Despises people who don't like to do favours to others, without getting something in return (at least, not immediately), that's something he always does whenever possible. Also dislikes people who's music fondness is very different from his. All in all, dislikes people who do anything he finds even mildly annoying, but does them himself, too. Is mildly lustful, though doesn't always like to show it.

Character background: Born as a faun, Sander's life had mostly been peaceful, full of music, celebrations, and other fauns, who were all extremely nice to eachother. These factors influenced him a great deal over the years, but he was always the odd one in his home village. He was more fond of adventuring away from his home, and hunting animals. He enjoyed everything the fauns did, but had a broader spectrum of hobbies. Due to his adventurous nature, he grew up to be far stronger than any other of the children his age. He was sent to Poemandres Boarding School mostly because he wanted it himself, to meet new people, and go to new places.

Character appearance: Is extremely handsome and beautiful, with dark-blond hair, which leans toward yellow and brown, rather than white. Has a fair complexion, and has blue eyes with some strokes of orange. Likes to wear human clothes, though he wears custom-made slim jeans, to fit his legs, and a collared shirt under a vest on his torso. Shaves often.

Character trivia: His star sign is Scorpio, and he was born on November 2nd, 1994 by human years. He uses glasses, since his eyesight isn't the best, but prefers not to wear them in public, since he's only not able to see things far away. Is trying to self-teach himself guitar, though sometimes wishes he had someone else who was good at it to teach him abit [small][small][small][sup][sub](at the moment, I have no other ideas what trivia to give).[/sub][/sup][/small][/small][/small]

Character relationships: I'm not good with asking it myself, but I'm open to anything. A romantic interest? Yes, absolutely. A nemesis? Yup, why not? Friends? Of course.

So interested!

Oh, how wonderful it is to know that there are other people out there who understand the amazing potential for horror and awesome possesed by the capricious and powerful Fair Folk of the ancient tales! There is so much out there once you get out of the "All faeries are Tinkerbell" box(while we are at it, I have recently rewatched disney's "Peter Pan" with my brother and I have to say Tinkerbell is actually quite frightening...)

As for more useful knowledge of fairies as I see them here:
They exist in another world bordering this reality(often referred to as "Arcadia" or "Faerie"), a realm of beautiful madness and nightmarish glory. In some places this fae realm is metaphysically "closer" to earth, thus the basic laws of nature (sort of) exist. The deeper you go, the more likely you are to reach impossible floating palaces of singing fire or dragons made of eyes and swordblades.
Almost all Fair Folk are associated with one of the two great courts: the Seelie court, under the rule of queen Titania, rules from midsummer to midwinter and espouses the ideals of true love, all conquering beauty, death before dishonor and a punishment for every injustice. The Unseelie court is ruled by king Oberon and rules from midwinter to midsummer. Their ideals are of passion, chaos, "might makes right", and "My own pleasure is the single most important thing in the whole world".
While the Seelie court is often seen as the "nicer" one, it is important to notice that these guys can be just as cruel, terrible and horrifying in their judgement as their "darker" brothers. If a mortal human meets a faerie, it usually does not matter to which court it belongs. The mortal is in deep sh*t either way.
Common species of faeries who live close to this world include(but are not limited to): sidhe("elves", as we call them. The beatiful and enchanting nobility of the fae), boggans(hardworking and loyal servents and house spirits), fir bolg(who live underground, where they mine for preacious metals and gems and craft magnificent things), pookas(shapechanging tricksters and troublemakers), redcups(violent and gluttonous murderers), fauns(passionate horned lovers with a great talent for music and philosophy), sluagh(silent and mysterious creepers who live in the dark), trolls(giant, oath-bound knights and noble warriors in service of the sidhe), ghales(green men of the woods) and goblins(cunning little basterds who will sell you absolutly ANYTHING for the right price).

Changeling: The Dreaming was a wonderful game indeed.

Naturally, both DuplicateValue and ThreeWords have been accepted. Wellcome!

Gorrister has also been accepted. A real high school needs stoners, about that you are right! XD

Fraught, if you have trouble finding a race, stick to the old horror movie classics: the vampire, the werewolf, the ghost, the warlock/witch, the mad scientist, the zombie...

All right, here's my character sheet.

Name: Sven Torgerson

Age: 15

Gender: M

Race: Werewolf (changes between man and man-wolf form usually at will, ?Mode Locked? to wolfman form at night or when enraged)

Sven was invited to Saint Poemandres after an incident between him and Rachel?s abusive older brother, Joshua, at school lead to his first transformation and several other students getting injured. He jumped at the opportunity in part to better learn how to control his powers.

Appearance: Sven stands at approximately 5?6?, but has about as much muscle as can be packed onto his stocky frame. Besides the increase in body hair and more lupine facial feature (a la Wolf O?Donnell) there is no appreciable difference between his human and wolfman forms. In either form, Sven has skin that?s pale-but-not-ghostly, dark grey hair and blue eyes.

Trivia: Sven aspires to be a professional wrestler, but doesn?t see that happening until he can learn to become human at night. He also has a very large collection of Power Rangers action figures. Sven tends to do consistently better in math than any other subject, but tends to flounder in anything related to social studies.

Relationships: None to speak of.

If we end with a metaphorical sausage fest, I'm willing to change gender. Thoughts, Oneirius?

Don't you hate it when you tell yourself that you can join no more RPs, and then all you can do is think about a character you want to play in another RP. Oh...

You know what? If one of my other RPs goes down, I shall join as an exchange student of some sort. I'll start making a sheet now to make sure no-one makes the same type of person I do, and then I'll join in at some point. What say you to this plan, Oneirius?

Themax, your in. I have a weakness to wolfmen, you know!

ThreeWords, I agree. If no more females join, a sidhe girl would be a nice character to even the odds here.

Revolverwolf, your idea is very good.

I am so totally in on this.
I'll be back in about half an hour or so with my sheet, so please reserve a spot for me here.

(PS: I'm probably gonna play as a girl, so ThreeWords needn't worry, it won't be an entire sausage-fest.)
